So I picked up a nail and decided to put on a new Trail. Pulled the wheel like I have a dozen times before and got the new rubber mounted. Now when I go to put the wheel back on the bike like I have a dozen times before. When the axle is fully seated the brake disc bolts jam up against the brake caliper mount, not letting the wheel turn. If I loosen the axle a few turns the bolts don't hit and the wheel spins. It's a 2010 wheel set up, and there doesn't appear to be any damage to the axle, threads, wheel, or any other component. What am I missing? |

You are probably missing a spacer, it is probably stuck to your tire machine, see this thread: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/327 77/654000.html?1317571753 |

Yep, there's a black spacer that goes on the disk brake side. It's about 3/8" long and made of anodized aluminum. The dust seal on that side rides on it. |

Replace that seal before you mount. Same happened to me and just hitting that seal with the stub on the swingarm ruins the seal. I only rode a few days but crap was already in bearing. |

Well I called the tire shop, though very understanding and helpful, they couldn't locate the spacer. I did find about 74 cents on my garage floor, so I have that goin for me..... Any recommendations for a ordering a new spacer and seals? Obviously speedy delivery is what I'm looking for. |
