Hey guys, I need help installing my ECM as I cannot find a shop worth a damn in this area. The last shop I had my bike in said that the ECM was bad, when installed the bike would not run. I then asked if they followed the directions that came with the ECM, and was told it was plug and play. My bike is an 07, and is not plug and play.. anyway, I don't know where to download the free software, or if its even available anymore. Just need another Buell brother to help me get the ECM in. Thanks guys Boca (Message edited by boca_g on April 23, 2012) |

Boca, I'm in Gainesville and would be more than happy to help out. I just can't travel to you. There is Mike (xoptimized) who is in Ocala and several others too that may be able to help out. Do you need someone to travel to where you are? |

If I keep running my bike with the Jardine and K&N without the ECM installed, can I do damage to my Buell? It pops like a son of a bitch, but I want to ride to Leesburg Bikefest this weekend.. anyone? |

Boca, I wd. think IF ya ran just the JArdine and not with the K&N filter for now, you may be okay... Others may chime in on this... |

I would stay clear of full throttle as it might not enrichen enough. Cruising should correct itself good enough that no damage is done. The popping however could become a real problem. First thing is does is wreck the muffler packing. Second thing it could do is blow the muffler apart at a seam. Worst thing it could do is pop all the way back through the intake and of course this is what you need to avoid. That last issue would be hard to determine since it can only happen during the valve overlap... Never read about anyone having damage from this last possibility. |

Keep looking for someone that will do a TPS reset correctly with EcmSpy,takes longer to remove the seat and hook up the cable then it does to do the TPS reset. |

If I don't find someone soon, I'm just gonna have to put her in a truck and drive her up to EricZ in Gainsville |

In Fl, either EricZ or Xopti. FWIW, Xopti's ecm work has been race proven, to include a WERA Championship in 2009! |

I can fix you up and I am much closer than Eric... I hate to see a stuck bike for such a simple fix. |
