They actually sell rebuild kits on eBay and I believe Al at American Sport Bike has the center pipe. Personally i 'm going to replace mine with heavy gauge expanded metal so i hopefully won't have to do it again. |

No, American Sport Bike does not have them. Only a universal repacking kit. I wish it was as simple as buying a kit on ebay or buying perforated pipe. It's not. These are not a universal baffle. They were specific to the ss2r's for Buells only.V&H does not and will not make any more. Their reply was that "they don't make Buell's anymore... so the quit making the units" MY reply to them was "They don't make the Dodge Dart anymore.... But you can still buying a F***ING MUFFLER FOR IT!" Not the most helpful people to deal with..... |

I'd keep a watch both places or call Al, he used to have just the baffle and eBay had a kit for the V&H SS2R with packing and the baffle, not generic stuff. This might work but I don't know how many variations of the ss2r there were. http://www.ebay.com/itm/VANCE-HINES-22040-REPLACEM ENT-BAFFLE-CHROME-V-H-SS2R-RACE-1996-/170827236206 ?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item27c618c 36e&vxp=mtr |

If you still have yours and you can weld I'd still recommend building one from expanded metal using the old end caps. |

Steve, Dirtthrower was able to get one directly from V&H as I had suggested to him in a thread in the M2 section, a few months ago. Have you contacted them directly? I suggested this because Al was no longer getting them from V&H, but he had not told me he was not able to get them, only that he no longer had them. IF v&H not longer supplies this part I'd suggest a muffler shop on a slow day, i'll bet they've got a perf'd core that they could weld a butt plate onto and drill for your application. I've gotten great help and good prices from local shops looking to fill a few minutes with work over the years. -Mike |

I have the perforated tube only no end cap. If you need that? |

Those things are hard to weld, they just want to melt, there's not a lot of metal in the stock perf tube, but a decent welder should be able to do something for you. D, you sure the end isn't just secured to the inside of the tail cap? They break off and then stay bolted to the cap. |

Dwrecked. If the tube has the 2.5" front collector pose on it, I'll take it! I have the end cap. Will send a pm. Thank you |
