tried to download the '08 manual - but it's a no-go on the link.... no recent mention of this...but isn't it a major deal to change 1 of the spark plugs on the 1125's?????? |

rear is tough to do. Can be done w/o rotating or frame off. There is a thread somewhere in the 1125r section... Basically, you have to manhandle it and do some really bad mangling of the plug boot to get them off. My concern would be how many times before you break it or the wiring. Maybe it happens on the first attempt. Seems to me that the plugs should last as long as the maintenance intervals where you are doing the valve lash too. |

I just did my valve adjustment for the first time at 12,000 miles. I replaced my plugs for the first time, also. The plug gap was just outside of tolerance, and the electrodes were burned a little. They had lost their sharp edge. |

Just change every 12k when you rotate engine for valve inspection/adjustment. |
