I need an ECM spy cable and a Service Manual for a 2007 XB12ss. Do these things pop up used very often or is buying new the only real option? |

They come around fairly often. OTOH, building a cable isn't hard if you have the crimping tool, or can solder. Getting the deustch (sp?) connector is the tough part, those were most easy for me to find on ebay. I got the usb pig tail from Mouser Electronics, they seem to be the best source for that. I just bought a service manual for my 07stt in the last month from a ebay source as well, shop a bit and you'll find one for half price or so. I'll find the link to my thread with the proper pn# for you in a minute... |

PN# for the book is 99571-07Y, unless the Ss was a mid year release like the Stt, in which case you'd need the -07YA... but I'm almost 100% certain you can use the first number I posted. Looks like Froggy answered the question several times over the years, there's a link posted in the thread below that takes you to where I found my answer. Here's me asking that question last month: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/327 77/667530.html?1328589626 |
