Hello badweb buellers! Let me start by saying, this forum has been a great help. I bought a 08 1125r in dec. Named her Taboo, I think the name fits. I had the clutch slave replaced already but that is a story for another day. Anyhow I just bought a race ebr ecm. I wanted to do the denoid even though I havent noticed any problem's in that area. My question is wanted to remove the whole thing kuz someone stated it weights like 5 pounds. Do i still need the resister plug from ebr? I believe I read somewhere that the race ecm takes care of the problem or am I wrong? Should I even mess with it or leave it be? Thanks guys all info appreciated sorry for the long post. ![](http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/clipart/peace.gif) |

welcome. the race ecu does not support the solenoid, so you can just ditch the whole thing.... |

Yes, The EBR ecm does not operate the Solenoid, so it does not matter if you have it plugged in or not. The resistor is for those that have a stock ECM and have de-noided, if you have the stock ECM and remove the solenoid it will throw a CEL. |

As a bonus, removing it reduces the throttle effort slightly. It's still heavy, but not quite as heavy as it is with the solenoid. |

Remove it and zip tie the throttles together. I believe there is a tutorial on BWB somewhere. I weighed the entire assembly and posted it previously but don't have the weight or link handy. I think it was about 2lbs total. Still, 2lbs of unnecessary garbage. I noticed the throttle was *slightly* smoother/easier. |
