Hey fellas.. so, It looks like I'll be a Uly owner in a week or so! been looking for a couple of months and finally a good one popped up Anyhow, it has no luggage or side racks.. but I do have a set of HB "junior 40's" on my lightning (with HB quick-lock racks) I can utilize the bags on the Uly.. just need to find the correct side racks for it.. are they still available thru harley? who would a good dealer be to contact about these? any other ideas would be helpful! I got my side racks for the Junior bags from the dealership that No-rice works for just before Christmas. I doubt he really did anything special to order them, so I would expect that the are available for order from any Buell dealer. Still gotta swap them out for the stockers on my XT - a.k.a. the projects never end... 1313 |

I see happy trails sells side racks for the Uly. 1 set is 199, the other is 299. |

Ahh.. thanks for that, 1313.. good info! nice to know the availability status.. Towpro.. hey, I wonder if the Happy Trails 199.00 softbag racks would support the smaller pelican cases ok? might be a low cost, light duty set-up |

I just looked up the parts @ Surdyke.com a HD dealer's website. You can get all three pieces for less than the Happy Trails prices. The part numbers are, 90085-05Y Left side 90089-05Y Right side 90090-05y X-Brace I recently purchased the top case mounting brackets from them. I had parts in hand in less than two weeks. Barry |

I just went down this road. From waht I gathered with the help of this fine bunch of Buellers was...The Journeymen Buell racks are Hepco & Becker and fit most H&B your pass pegs stay down for fit on some cases. All the new racks need a adaptor to fit pellican cases from Caribou unless you can find an older Uly set they quit making the Buell racks like most. Or you can make your own set on brackets. Next racks I get might be the Outdoorsmen they are set to the rear of the bike alittle more than the Journeymen. I ended up with a used set of Journeymen side racks, Palmer tailrack and a set of KTM Hepco & Becker Gobi cases and used Home Depot hardware. Got it all for way less than any set up I could find out there. I was thinking of getting soft bags first then decided to get the hard caeses now. |

GREAT info guys!, thanks for the part numbers yo_barry.. it looks like I'll need the signal re-locator bracket too, hmm, unless there is a better spot for the sigs up higher.. anybody? I have been researching voraciously and I think the "junior/outdoorsman" racks will also accept the buell "journey" bags (with the rear setback of these racks).. the bags would be swapped side for side though, so the latch would be to the rear.. and positioning on the bike would remain in the stock location, for-to-aft. So, in a nut-shell multiple options do abound with the "outdoorsman" racks, as has been said before!.. gonna', gonna'.. gonna' get me some! |
