I bought a new XB12R. Now it wants a D&D pipe. Would part # 29388-02Y Kit,Air Cleaner,XB & Part # 32620-03Y Kit,ECM,XB12 work? If so do I need the D&D Slip-on XB Model (part # 443-11S) exhaust or will I need the full exhaust? |

The bike is a 2004. I am looking for the most power that I can get out of the race kit installation. Would there be any benefit to going with a different pipe? I am trying to get the most information that I can get before doing any expensive modifications to the bike. Anyone's with experience in this setup situation would be appreciated. |

Dajantzi I would have to say there really isn't a good pipe out for the 12 yet other then the Drummer pipe. The Buell race muffler doe's well on top end but you will lose bottom and some mid range. The D&D will do the same.Check out the XB board for the Drummer. No disappointments with the Drummer and its alittle cheaper to.I've got one going on my 12 the end of this week, can't wait. |

Will you add the ECM and the air cleaner kit when you install the Drummer? Do you know where I can see the pics for a Drummer pipe? I will try in the XB board again but I did not see any there before. I may not have looked in the correct place. |

Ditto the D&D sound. Simply awesome. Cleans up the look of the bottom side of the bike, plus more ground clearance. The punch is in the midrange, right where your bike is the happiest. It's the most expensive slip-on, but you won't be disoppointed for sure. Really, you won't be disopointed with any of the current offerings. Get the one that trips YOUR trigger. Get it because YOU want it. It's your bike. |
