"Fiberglass is made the same way as the carbon fiber." Where is the fiberglass bike? |

I believe the one Rob bought is 'glass. The vid says all the structural bits are CF, regardless of bodywork. Only the external/cosmetic bits change, per AMA rules. IIRC, all the "carbon edition" bikes are black and bare CF. The colored bikes are 'glass. |

That is freekin' awesome! Can anybody say "Formula 1/ Indy Car" type and quality? Why do I have the desire to leave my life behind and run North to grab a position in a factory? I love my wife and kids and grand-kids, the pets, my land and business, the mountains and roads of East Tennessee. I hate Northern winters, with limited riding seasons, and nasty old road salt, aching body parts, and dark winter days. But DAMN IT! My qualifications could possibly make me a skilled janitor!....awesome! Eh shit.....she just caught me, she says she won't let me go.....I will slink quietly back into my shop to weld and paint something. |

I think Erik's work is the exact opposite of anything made in China |

I would rather think that Erik's work is that of a true American. Fighting tooth and nail, everything on the line, for a quality product you put your soul in. |

That video reveals a small specialty boutique motorcycle race shop – kind of like the McLaren of the motorcycle world. Very similar ideology, as well: http://www.mclarenautomotive.com/uk/default.aspx#/ p11/explode While I think it’s interesting and cool, I’ll never drive $1,000,000 McLarens or ride a $40,000. Erik seems like he’s found a home – good for him. . |

While I think it’s interesting and cool, I’ll never drive $1,000,000 McLarens or ride a $40,000. How about a 1.5 million dollar LeMan's winner?
Well, I didn't drive it, I just had a beer with it!

The Fiberglass Erik Buell Racing 1190RS is beautiful. Amazing what color can do to the lines of an already beautiful bike. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GO1hzZe222c&feature =share |
