I have a 2005 xb12R and i know that the manual says use transmission oil for the trany. Harley trany oil is the same as their engine oil( it says on the bottle engine & transmission). Can I just use synthetic motorcycle engine oil in my trany and engine or do i really need a special oil? |

You can use the 20w50 engine oil in both. |

But I wouldn't. I'd use formula+ in the primary cavity. More info in recent related thread here: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/142 838/645573.html?1313075572#POST2100026 |
