Would you guys talk about bikes already? I rode to work today. Took the race bike. 13:1 compression, 112 octane leaded race fuel, 6:00 am and 20 degress do NOT go well together. It took 10 minutes to warm up and my wife informed me tonight that my bike is F....N loud! She says it must be the cold air, cause the bike wasn't this loud in the summer. She said that it sounded like someone was pounding on the front door. Even woke the baby up. After that, I don't think I will be riding the bike to work. I love it, but I am not about to piss off my wife, my baby and all of the neighbors just for a winter ride. Although I could put a stock muffler on it and lower the compression to a reasonable level! |

Dave...Thanks for the schedule. When your itineraries begin to shape up, please email info concerning routes and/or stops with approximate times for the Crud runs, PDC run, NE IA run and any other events that run towards IL, MN and WI. Perhaps we can organize other runs to meet up with your group. Thanks, Bill |

SnowDave...My hat's off to you for riding today. I rode the Bagger with Training Wheels (read: Miata) today and was even cold with the heater. Interesting discovery that cold air is less dense and sound travels further. LMAO Is sometimes the reason folks push their bikes in/out of the 'hood. I did, but can't anymore. No hill! |

Nev, For the Crud runs we always leave Waterloo at 8am sharp and usually get to Pine Bluff about 11:30 or so. Lets set it up for everyone to be there by 12 noon so we can all ride over to Leland together. Be really cool to roll into Leland with a BUNCH of Buells! The Prairie DuChein ride, we meet in PDC at 11-12 at the Pizza Hut on the south end of town. Ride leaves from there at 12 NOON SHARP! We then will go for a scenic ride on some of the best roads in the midwest! About 3 or so we will be going to a bar and grill along the river for some late lunch and bench racing. All anyone needs to know is to be in PDC about 11 or so, we can do a group picture before we leave. Ride to the edge! Dave Iowa HD/Buell (Buell Cycle Center) |

Thanks Roger...Emailed my requirements to you already. Suggest that anyone else remotely considering going to the IMS do the same. Is a fantastic savings that can offset your parking fee. |

The savings is small, something like a buck fifty after postage, but to me its worth it to not stand in line, especially if you go sat., i cant stand waiting in line, and the wife has a hard time standing for such a long period of time, so there are 2 motivations later Roger |

The IMS Lines are well organized and move quickly but are longer than Spidey's DMV report. Getting the advance tickets just to prevent the hassle of going through the lines is well worth the price. |

Hey Spidey...come and get it. I know we can sell lots of tickets to the contest. Heck, if we do it right, we can get Dyna's bike fixed, cover our medical expenses and maybe have enough left over for a half barrel to share with our friends. Just remember, I get to wear the tights!!! LMAO |

MISSION STATEMENT In the 1960's, Gamma Delta Iota (God Damned Independents) was the most popular fraternity/sorority on campus and has been recently resurrected for motorcyclists (read: all brands) in the form of S.E.W.E.R. on the BWB. The only rule we have is that we don't have no stinkin' rules. No patches either, at least not yet. Check out the archives and see if life in the Sewer is something for you. Feel free to post anything and everything you want here. Trust me, the Sewer Rats won't care and if you are lucky you may find a ride or activity that you may want to take a break from your normal daily hum drum and participate in. In the event you or your group are planning a ride or event and are looking for increased participation, this is the perfect place to find folks to hook up with. Nothing planned yet for 2004. Still getting input and working with the maps. It may fly or fail. No big deal. Is merely a group of independents (and groupies) looking for a little excitement which will evolve around both Buell and Non-Buell events in Wisconsin and adjoining States. GDI's Forever!!!

DISCOUNT SURVEY As independents with cash and no place to call home, Sewer Rats are always looking for a good deal on parts and accessories. As dealers with HOG and BRAG chapters have different policies concerning discounts to members it would be interesting to learn what each dealer is offering each group. In posting your response, simply list the dealer, group, discount and any comments you may have. In the event you are paranoid about posting your input, email it to me in full confidence that you won't be busted by your dealer or your peers. Examples are as follows: ABC HD/BMC, City, State, HOG, 10% on parts/accessories, Great social group but boring rides. ABC HD/BMC, City, State, BRAG, No discount, large parts inventory, limited accessories available. Great rides but meetings poorly attended. XYZ HD/BMC, HOG/BRAG, 5% discount on parts and accessories for National membership and additional 5% discount on parts, accessories and service for HOG chapter members, Great service department. No local BRAG Club. DWD, City, State, Independent with 10% discount off published prices, service rates average 20% less than local dealers. Applies to both HD and BMC products, No club affiliation required. The results of this survey should be interesting. Only goal is to identify where the deals are for National and Local members of HOG and BRAG as well as independents. In the event enough folks participate, we may end up with a list of dealers and discounts that you can use for planning long range trips. Especially if there are discounts for National membership and/or the discounts go beyond parts and accessories and include service. Survey results will be available via email in MS-Excel format. Concerning your input, feel free to ramble on and I will create the headings as needed.

Kool Aid = Buyer inducements. Unless of course it was left over from Jonestown, which then may be considered a means of resolution in the Complaint Department. |
