the baddest harley davidson road racer with a sportster based motor and one of the most underrated riders ever in the sport of road racing. Gene church the rider and don tilley the tuner made history many times over on this bike. go to dave gess web site and see or go to tale section and look at the lucifers hammer thread. |

From the first page of the archive of Classic Buells and Buell History ... this is Gene with LH2. As I understand it, LH2 was the 2nd RR1000, the first being the read/white/blue prototype now owned by John Mikosh. The 3rd one carried VIN 1, it's owned by Devin Battley of Battley Cycles in Gaithersburg, MD. Pictures of all these bikes, as well as the RW750's that preceded them, can be found on that page. |

I personally think it would be really cool to get a chance to check out the 'Ol Hammer' as it got a chance to run again. So, yes, I'd be interested in seeing the bike rebuilt and brought out of retirement. It would be a blast.. so please, do it.. Later, |

Getting Gene back on LH, in a race of any kind, would be awesome! The old (where did the time go?) memories came flooding back when I started reading this thread. Gene Church was 'The Man' before the term was even coined. I will be at that show. Brian, just make it happen man, just make it happen. We can get some ARS, Lynrd Skynrd, Molly Hatchet, rent a U-Haul, and go to the races. Now if that wouldn't just be to dad-blamed cool! Greg |
