I don't wear tights..... just high tech long underwear. (the victoria's secret stuff is good? cool) Many Sailplane pilots wear pantyhose to keep warm at altitude. Lycra bike shorts are great under Ballistic or leather gear. I have been known to wear a kilt, but not on a bike. |

Thats why one should never borrow some elses wetsuit!! When I was doing my dive master certification we used to tell the classes of new students that the class that used the school suits before them was the diuretics class. Of course we also said "Don't worry we rinse them out " |

Aesquire...Amen to the bike shorts. Used to wear those as well as my bike pants under my leathers. Did a nice job and really enjoyed the extra padding one old bike I had. Just a little bulky at times on the crotch rockets. Now for the question of the day. What brand of Hi Tech long underwear do you recommend and what is the price range? I tried the 70% poly 30% wool stuff from Duofold and was underwhelmed on the bike. Great if you are moving around, but not so hot if you are sitting on a bike. (Hmmm...sport touring fairings are sounding better all the time. LOL) |

This months Motorcycle consumer news is great, many worty articles, writeup on the XB12S, an article on Riding safe & what causes accidents...very very timely indeed. And last but certainly not least is one titled "Late season riding apparel". In it they actually promote the wearing of pantyhose as a wicking layer. |

You should have had it by now. I got mine about 4 days ago. Very good issue. Back to the fashion topic now..they also suggested getting some 1970's disco shirts as a wicking layer for your top half. Wouldnt be a great combo, pantyhose on the lower & a polyester disco shirt with a big picture of a tiger on its back |

CJ...You really aren't a trouble maker, just a little biased. There have been many articles in all forms of outdoor special interest publications over the years concerning the use of pantyhose/tights. I know it really sounds silly, but the damned things work. Perhaps it just takes a real man to stand up and admit it rather than giving in to the peer pressures of the not so open minded. Now, concerning the disco shirts. I sold mine a few years back for well over twice what I paid for them. Seems the "Retro Dance" groups loved them for their competitions. Trust me, I paid $50 to $100 a shirt for them new and had no clue they would sell like that. I just laughed all the way to the bank. I just can't wait to see what MCN suggests concerning keeping the collars from flapping in the wind. |

http://www.underarmour.com/ua2/ua/default.asp The heatgear is GREAT for the summer months. Easy to wash in a hotel sink on those long road trips, dries damn quick. I'll review the Cold Weather gear when my cheap-ass decides to spring $60 for it. |

I bought some underarmour this last summer to wear under my leathers. Great stuff. I have a connection that can get you 25% off if you buy a top and bottom! Let me know if any of you need some. Ride to the edge! Now I'm selling underwear? Dave Iowa HD/Buell (Buell Cycle Center) |
