I have a 2003 Bolt. My question is i have a Race Muffler on there now. It was on there when i bought it. Should i get rid of it and get a drummer or just keep it? I am not a racer i am just looking for a nice sound. |

Does it sound nice already? Drummer is a little deeper, but still the pretty much the same sound. |

Personally, I like the sounds of my race muffler...it's just right. I have it on my '03 XB9S, and a SS Drummer on my '06 Uly. I know the SS muffler will sound different from a standard Drummer, but I prefer the Race Can in sound level and sound quality. It's all opinion tho... If you have not yet done so, have a look through American Sport Bike's exhaust shootout: http://www.americansportbike.com/XB_Exhaust_Shooto ut_Test_Report.zip There's all kinds of info in there. Some fact from the tests: Weight: Race Can: 10.5 # Drummer: 11 # Peak sound level: Race Can: 120 db Drummer: 122 db (remember, a 3 decibel increase is double the sound level...so 2 db is significant) Peak HP (peak is certainly not everything, but it's what we have!): Race Can: 89.35 HP Drummer: 89.87 HP Peak Torque: Race Can: 70.76 TQ Drummer: 70.17 TQ Audio samples, also from the shootout:
