It looks like the manifold may be longer as well because that carb sticks out a bit. I really like the look of it. Great work Dorothy as we have few custom Buell part builders left. I sent you an email. Frank |

Thanks Frank, But the reality is that the old man did that one for his bike. It is pretty bad ass though none the less. It does come in handy to know how to design component parts. I'm always happy to look at other concepts that people may have or just replicate parts they already have so...... Check out the parts available on the ebay site. http://my.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?MyEbayBeta&MyEbay=&gbh=1&guest=1 Thanks again Frank I sent you an email back. The top triple tree is NOT a clip on bar set up. These top trees have NO Bolts thur the bars! This practice weakens the bars & places the fasteners in shear instead of tension-NOT GOOD) The race bar clamps are part of the Triple Tree- NOT ADDED ON TOP. It accepts stock dash & handle bar clamp. You can change from race bars to stock position for commuting or touring. I ride with the racing bars on my bikes year around! |

Hey Dorothy, Did ya get that message I sent you on Facebook last night? Hope all is well! Think you can churn out a pulley cover like I posted above? I can take care of the plexi, just would need to know how recessed it's made to buy correct thickness. |

Hey I get it now!Yes I can mach one up. See what it looks like & send you some pics. It will probably be a while before I can get to it. As I'm about to do some major runs on my product line. But I can have my guy start working on the concept soon.} |

how comfy is the btr top triple with the clip on style bars compared to like a crossroads set up. |

Well I've never been riding with a crossroads set up but I like the position on these. Your leaning forward enough but not laying on the tank. Unless of course your wanting to. Then you just bend the elbow & your down. In my opinion, these are better because they are not clip on. They have clamps that are part of the top tree. No bolts through. Blah blah blah. It's Friday night! Got to go relax! |

From what I remember the riding position is very similar between the crossroads bars and BTR top tree. The bar angle on the BTR tree is back a little further which works fine on the regular S1 tank. I am running a Manta tank and needed to have a set of bars bent so my controls would clear my Manta tank. |

Does she need to be? I don't think there's enough volume of work for her to justify spending the money to be one...My guess. Either way, she's the only one still willing to churn out some custom parts for us... |

I'm working on a sponsorship solution. She will either be a full fledged sponsor or she will be linked to an existing sponsor (American Sport Bike, Bumpus, etc.). She does do good work. |

>>Does she need to be?. It's my understanding NO advertising unless a sponsor.I guess there are exceptions when a mod makes a purchase and then starts a thread about their said purchase. I've seen many here( non sponsors) get their ass burned royally for trying to make a buck or two. BTW Wilson anything headed my way ups/snailmail? >> She does do good work.... From her post >>( I'm trying to get things done but I have to stand in line with all the other customers now, don't have my own machines yet). |

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conflict_of_interest A conflict of interest (COI) occurs when an individual or organization is involved in multiple interests, one of which could possibly corrupt the motivation for an act in the other. A conflict of interest can only exist if a person or testimony is entrusted with some impartiality; a modicum of trust is necessary to create it. The presence of a conflict of interest is independent from the execution of impropriety. Therefore, a conflict of interest can be discovered and voluntarily defused before any corruption occurs. |

A conflict of interest exists when Blake says it does. In support of BW policy I sent the following to Dorothy a week and a half ago: "Glad there is so much interest on BadWeb. I hope you will be able to move some more parts. Badweb has a policy that only sponsors can advertise and sell products. Prevents lots of spam and junky folks peddling crap. Would you be interested in becoming a BadWeb sponsor? This would give you free reign to advertise, you'd have a section for a website in the Sponsor's section and you'd have a rolling banner advertising your parts." I'm working to get her set up. |

That shifter is awesome. I'd like to have one, but without the extra angle and speed holes in the lever. |

I don't think she was here advertising, she was invited to talk to us about her parts. With the current situation regarding parts for our obsolete machines, we need all the friends in the aftermarket industry we can get. It is not like there is a ton of money to be made supplying parts to us old tuber guys. |

Yes, well said Shane... I hope FB and Dorothy are able to work something out. It would be a damn shame if it did not. I think FB stated in a much earlier email that he was working the sponsorship or something with ABS which is cool. If he did not post a picture I never would had know they existed. I sure would like to have one for the S3 motor in the S2 frame. Frank |

The complaint had little to do with this thread. It was a dig at me from someone with nothing better to do. I will make sure that she will either be a sponsor or will not spam here in support of BW policy. |

And don't forget the tuber Gals Essmjay. You know the women that hang with the tuber old guys probably would love to have their own buells. I know it was all good to ride on the back of a big harley back in the day, but I'm here to say it was the coolest thing that happened to me when I purchased my first Buell!!! So guys don't under estimate the female rider! |

Well, that was guys in the generic sense. My wife owns and rides a 2002 S3 and before that she logged many many miles on a '99 S3 and before that she had my old Sportster and then there was the XS650 before that and then there was the 650 BSA that she gave to me many years ago after I rescued her from a blown top end she had on her way to California, and she started out on an old BSA thumper. Anyway, I get your point and it is funny because I almost changed that in the first post. I am glad you have a sense of humor and a thick skin. Unfortunately, many have not accepted the new reality of what will become an ever shrinking owner base as these bikes slowly disappear. It is only through the efforts of small suppliers that we can hope to still be on the road 20 years from now. I hope you stick around even if the whole sponsorship thing isn't for you. We have others here who do aftermarket, including me, and we know who they are without making a big deal about it. Shane |
