New to sight bike still under waranty very small seapage at case halves, no drips but wet to touch i havn't contacted dealer yet. You can see the sealant seperating from halves behind the belt in pic. Love this bike, Bought last year in sept. new with 17 miles. Don't know how that works maybe people test rode it for 17 miles? Found out about this sight through some seaches looks like a great sight. Thanks for your opinions in advance. |

Uly518 Well just take some of that oil and rub it on the drive pully! HAhahaaaaaa. Sorry. Welcome to the site. Great info and people here. If the bike is in warranty I would clean off the oil and keep an eye on it and see if it gets worse. How many miles on it now? My Strom has a few intermitent leak / weeps and it seems to only happen when I have a dirty air filter almost like it effects the crank case venting some how. Never consistant. So far on my 09 bought last October and 6000 miles no leaks after the first 1500 miles where all the oil line fittings seemed to leak just enough to attract dirt. Cleaned it once and they stopped. Could have been build lube. We need pictures of the bike too dangit! HAhahaaaaaaa. BDRAG |

Does it drip on the floor? Yes: how many drops a minute? (if more than one; get it fixed ASAP.) No: Show the leak to your local dealer; insist that they write a work order on the problem. (for documentation only.) Be sure to keep a copy. Tell them you are ok with cleaning and monitoring over the next year or so. Then, if it's still leaking, take it back the last month of warranty to get fixed. A little weepage won't hurt a thing. (Message edited by teeps on October 10, 2010) |

Uly518, What Teeps says is dead on. Sorry I didn't mention the documentation part before you clean it up. I would bet they want the warranty work and ask that you leave it with them. Keep an eye on it. BDRAG |

What they said. And, on the 17 miles: the dealer has to do a PDI (pre delivery inspection) on every bike that includes at least a 2 mile test ride. That, and a couple of demo rides, and yes...you're at 17 miles. Welcome! Now go ride, smile, and repeat |
