Does anyone have any creative ideas on how to cover the bars and seat pan to make it 1) presentable and 2) water resistant. Get a crappy rear cover, sand down w/320 wet/dry, spray with Krylon (plastic) gloss black after cutting two parallel slots (back to front) into the cover, so the rails can stick up through. Put a couple SS pan head 1/4 20 screws into a tapped rail or part beneath it. Bag looks real trick! No I have not done it but it seems reasonable enough to do with my 1125R rear seat. If not you could've installed the box over the seat pan instead of hanging off the back for better weight distribution and the benefit of some weather protection, I'd think. Otherwise, it looks sturdy enough. Good job.   Rideecono Posted on Monday, September 12, 2011 - 11:16 pm:        I sold the bike and still have the seat pan, brackets, and cowl if anyone wants it. It's easy to install and only needs a topbox with mount. I saw ones with the box installed directly on top of the seat area and did not like the way it looked. Hanging off the bike is a non issue. Not like I was carrying concrete or anything! PM if you are interested in the cowl, bracket and seat pan set up.
