I have an 08R, went to leave for work and had no clutch. Got home and noticed fluid was low. filled it up and bled it out but noticed it looks like its weeping out the little hole on the side cover. I heard it's a recall or bulliten item but I would rather do it my self as I have no dealer within an hour. so I'm looking for input. Thanks |

It's easy to do if you can find the parts. I replaced mine recently. I have an 08 1125R. The clutch feels better than it ever has. There has been some talk about the repair kit needing an updated clutch cover, but it works fine in the original cover on my bike. |

My 08r started leaking very little at about 3000 miles. Never had to add fluid, but checked a month ago and it was a little low. Clutch was starting to feel a little weak in action. Dealer (Baltimore) ordered new cover kit back in June. took about 3 weeks to get then. Just had it fixed last week at 5000 miles. No leaks so far. PS...Make sure parts dept. orders new rubber diaphragm that goes behind cover. Pretty big piece of rubber. Must not come with new side cover. Tech re-used mine but was not happy about it. |
