We held the BattleTrax II yesterday in Waterloo Iowa. We had 39 riders compete for the prizes and bragging rights! Sam from KC did it again, he came in and cleaned house on his X1! We were able to get the morning practice runs and the "For the money" runs done before the rain hit us. It only rained for about an hour, we sent a few riders out on the rider's edge Blasts to dry the track some and went back at it. We had riders from Kansas,Mo,Mn,Il and Iowa compete! It was a very long day for the people that helped me put on this event and I'd like to thank them for all the help. Jeremy and Todd went way above the call of duty on this one. I was gone all last week at the dealer meeting and just got back Friday night. I wasn't able to do anything on Sat, as I had a family reunion to attend. I got the the Greyhound Park Sunday morning at 5:45 AM to find most of the stuff already there! Jeremy had done a great job of pre-planning the course and it didn't take him long to set it all up. He even brought his Dad along to help. All in all the day went great. Thanks to all my volunteers, I am very lucky to have you all as friends. I'll try to get Craig to post some pictures later today. Ride to the edge! Dave HD/Buell Cycle Center Waterloo Iowa Iowa HD/Buell (Buell Cycle Center) |

Mike, looks like you caught José takin' it to the limit on the Battlefield. Understand he found the Outer Limits in Carlisle ('course that's what makes him one of the fast guys now).

This is my favorite one: My problem right now is that I'm going too fast and I blow my lines and turning points and stay too far away from the cones. I need to slow down or use the brakes more. But I have fun doing it! Bob on his Suzuki TLS does not look like he's going fast, but he stays an inch away from the cones and stays on the right line, and beats us all....

ya know Mike, I think his scoot's motto (or is that moto ) is 'rode hard and put away wet'. Actually he was sayin' he encounters bad luck when he washes it. here's another one of your nice pics of José stress testin' his bearings

damn, that's strange.... José, don't think you can 'imagelink' to Mike's Albums. All I was seeing was this: . Then after getting into his album, I see I've posted the same image you linked to above.

you can only link to thumbnail view or first picture in an album view. not single images Jose, you need to get a 8x10 or 12x14 of that shot. I just ordered a few larger shots (of me) just to show everyone how great they look with a 35mm-quality from a real photographic process printer Steve, I showed Jose some of the 4x6's I had printed from Ride for Life.

Mike, thanks for the link. Had to do a helmut ID to see if this one was Mr. White -- yes?
don't think too many folks attain his lean angle.

Hello all! BattleTrax is alive and well in Colorado. Colorado Thunder Club will be hosting the 2nd Annual Colorado BattleTrax on June 12th (Saturday) at Thunderridge High School in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. Last year Reg Kitrelle said we had one of the best BattleTrax events he had put on to date. We don't want to disappoint this year so we are going bigger and better (even though the factory isn't running the "Buell Championship Series" this year.) We want to see all of you that can make it at our 2nd Annual Colorado BattleTrax Event. This is hosted by Rocky Mountain Buell and Colorado Thunder Club and guarantees to be a good time had by all! Please contact Buellpartsman1 at (303) 703-2842 for info on the event, lodging (if you need it), and Rocky Mountain Buell. Thanks again and hope to see you all there. |

BATTLETRAX OHIO! Club Cleveland will be hosting a Battletrax event at South East HD/Buell in Bedford Heights, OH (near Cleveland). It is scheduled for 5/15/04, and will be just one of several events. The Buell Factory Demo truck will be here offering rides, and I'm working on plans for a Dyno Shootout. Food and beverages will also be provided by the dealership. E-mail me at jasonfuhst@hotmail.com if you have any questions, or if you're planning to attend. Ride safe. - Jason |

Any word on when or if the Battletrax.com website schedule will be updated? |

Mikej: I will speak with Reg K. tomorrow to see if we can get that updated. I know that the BattleTrax is an important piece of some of our Buellers lives and Reg should keep it updated. I know that Reg is a busy man with all that he and his wife do but we gotta know what's going on with our own little piece of the Buell world (even if Buell doesn't want to run the Buell National Championship Series again this year)! I will try to coax Reg into posting the BattleTrax schedule for this year. Keep checking! |
