here is the issue when I cut my bike on and go riding the light turns on for a couple of minutes and then cuts off it will not come back on ( or it will flicker) until I turn the bike off and then turn it back on. DDM tunning has this wire harness do you think this will work for the bike it looks similar to the other relay write ups i have seen on badweb but just want some other advice. here is the link http://www.ddmtuning.com/Products/HID-Kit-Wiring-H arness thank you for all your inputs and help |

It will work, but you will have to cut it up. It is designed for a car, so you will see the wires are very long in some spots and short in others. Also, if you want to use both your high beam and low beam separately, you will need two harnesses. |

Does anyone understand why it is doing it in the first place? Are you pulling power from the headlight lead, and not from a relay on a line to the battery? |

He made a thread in the Xboard about it, me and a dozen others chimed in suspecting a bad ballast. |

He has been running 35W HIDs off the stock wiring and is now planning to install the relays. Might as well install the timer relay(DEI 611T) also to prevent more ballast issues later down the line. |

Got it. Stock wiring is a bit thin for a HID ballast, especially without a delay. But we already knew that. ![; )](http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/clipart/winker.gif) |

In my opinion, the DD ballast has failed. I have a pair of DD HID 55 watt lights on my Uly XT and my low beam Ballast failed after about 5-6 rides. It would only flash, but not ignite. They replaced it after they checked out the unit I returned to them. An irritation to wait for the UPS time plus the week they took to evaluate it, but they made good on it! husky |
