I have a 1125 CR. I'm trying to get the ecm tuned so i'm confused on what year my bike is? On my paper work it says 2009 CR but on the frame of the bike it says it was manufactured in august 2008. I hear they are different but in what way? ????? |

There were no model year 2008 CRs. Yours is an 09. |

Any brand of motor vehicle can have a built date a year earlier than the model date. The manufacturers have to get started before the new year in order to have them available then. |

My 2010 was built in June 2009. It's normal for any vehicle to be built in the previous calendar year. |

The HD/Buell model year begins in july/august of the previous year. So 09 models would have been out at the end of summer 08 |

You can get a 2007 Chevy Tahoe built in 2005. You can get a 2003 Buell XB9R built in 2001. You can get a 1982 Delorean built in 2010. |

My 2005 Silverado SS started production in October of 2004. I picked it up off the showroom floor on December 29th, 2004. No worries. Only CR years models were 2009 and 2010. Build date and year model are different in some cases. |

You can get a 1982 Delorean built in 2010. Yeah, but you need a flux capacitor and 1.21 jigawatts! :-) (Message edited by stevasaurus on June 03, 2010) |

Um, no, actually. There is a company who bought out all the NOS Delorean parts - including titled frames - and are building them brand new. No flux capacitor required |

They could have at least updated the interior and that pig snout frond end. I mean, I am all for originality but damn! |

An easy way to tell is the 10th digit of the VIN. |
