My Corbin came yesterday, Blue stitching, blue logo, carbon fiber leather, asphalt sides and front. I had to adjust the brackets and remove one of the 2 front left bolts that hold the front mounting clip (hits the cam cover). Very easy setup and once the adjustments were made it fits great, just loosening mounting screws for fit and tighten. Haven't got to ride it, that's today but just sitting on it is nice, seems about 1/2" lower than the stock seat. I now need to get the the orange/red spring off and either powder coat blue or black, I am going to remove the 1125R logos as I dont like the red, doesn't match the 08'

It's really only lower at the front, if you sit in the middle of the seat it's about the same, more room up front for beanbag comfort. |

You can also custom order the seat and specify an extra 1" or more of seat height or Stitching color, or leather choices and colors. |

I LIKE Corbin seats, have issues with the company, but it's still the best seat for the 1125. If you order one, highly recommend that you specify FRENCH SEAMS. Al |

Mr_+_1125r That looks good!!! I got mine last week for my 08. I chose a textured black leather with Navy Blue leather in front and sides with blue stitching. It looks awesome and feels good. The fit however was not as good. I couldn't get the seat on unless I totally removed the front tabs. I noticed the rear brackets were misaligned as well. How did you align the rear brackets, and that did you do with the front tabs? You removed one bolt from the left tab, is this correct? What about the rubber bumpers. Did you shave them at all? Please elaborate, I could use some help. Thanks Peter |

Hey Peter, I loosened the four bolts from the front tabs & the 4 allen head screws from the rear brackets, the tabs and brackets can move around alot. I couldn't slide the seat all the forward on the left side, that's when I noticed a little bare magnesium scratch on the valve cover, the front tab bolt was hitting, I removed that and it slid forward perfect. I took me a few tries but if you tighten the rear bracket screws just enough so you can still slide them with some effort by hand then you can slide the seat in on the front tabs and then move the rear brackets to line up with the frame screw holes. Slide the seat off and fully tighten all the screws on the seat and it should go on line up. I am going to replace the front tab bolts with stainless button head cap screws. Hope that helps. I did put about 50 miles on the new seat today and really like it, more room in front and way better than the stock seat, sitting on leather is way nicer. |

Mr T - Looks good...and as you say...more room for the hanging parts. I had mine done a while back by an auto upholstery shop. I hated the fact that the seat was made for female lower parts....very uncomfortable. Mike |

Hey all, I removed my Corbin seat and played around with the brackets on Saturday. I removed the front bolts from the front brackets, also had to put washers under the brackets to space it out a bit. That worked! It seems to give me just the positioning it needed to slide in the seat in the front. As for the back brackets I loosened them and moved them around a bit to get the perfect alignment. That worked too! Thanks Mr_t Peter |

What are French seams and do the American Sport Bike quick release pins still work with this setup? |

google, french flat-felled seam It is a style of joining materials without any overlapping. overlapping materials especially leather and heavier fabrics cause thick seams and that can be uncomfortable. |

Those French think of everything. Nice looking saddle. I wonder if Corbin would embroider the Pegasus on the side instead of the Corbin logo? I have a Corbin for the Millenium with a Silver Pegasus so I know they did it ten years ago. I know what you mean about eliminating red from the color scheme on the 2008. The spring needs to be an eye catching shade of blue. Just when I thought I had spent enough on my obsession you post that nice looking saddle. |
