Has anyone used the Metzeler Sportec M1 Supersport tire? I feel like it would be better than the Parelli's. Plus, its about 40 bucks cheaper. Axl |

Old generation tires. not multi compound. Were popular 2005,2006 therabouts. Now they have the M-3 and maybe something even better. Has Metzler jumped on the multi-compound bandwagon yet? Oh, and the Corsa IIIs are better tires. |

Thanks. i was not aware that they werent multicompound. Just from the way my tire has been wearing it just looks like the center is flattening out just like the rest of the tires ive had. i guess i have more to consider. Do you have any suggestions?? axl |

I switched over to Conti Road Attacks i have just about 650 miles on them and they are wearing nicely.... and have a great feel to them IMO. (Message edited by bigschwerm on May 04, 2010) |

i ran a couple sets of M1s on the firebolt until the M3s came out. No complaints |

if you are doing a lot of highway miles, try something like the Michelin pilot road 2, it has soft compound for the twisties on the side, but hard compound in the center to get a lot of miles. I just ordered one, but i haven't mounted it yet. |

I used the Sportec M3 tyres and found them very good in the wet (the usual weather here in the UK) but in the dry at very high speeds the bike felt a little skittish - obviously tyre pressures were checked and varied but this seemed to make no difference, neither did altering suspension settings. This went away completely when I switched to Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SC1/2 which to my surprise give acceptable grip in the wet. The Sportec tyres lasted very well and were much quicker to warm up than the Supercorsa which was to be expected. |

yeah the pr2 is sport touring, I believe the pilot power 2 is a multicompound sportbike tire. I looked at it, but i need more miles out of a tire then that one will provide. (Message edited by dktechguy112 on May 05, 2010) |
