Did a 3 day 2 up tour of southeastern Oh. between I77-I70 and Oh.river with a bit of W. Virginia and Pa. too.All I can say is get a road map and look at all the black wiggly lines on it and ride em.The uly was incredible. Fully loaded bags and trunk plus wife meant the preload and damping were cranked up but never grounded anything or wobbled and almost used the whole tire. still had a chicken strip 3/16 wide or less on back.45mpg 500 miles. Superslabbed the bike in back of the truck to mansfield from Chicago and left it at a wal-mart then unloaded the bikes and took off. Didn`t want to waste the tires going straight |

Are you talking about OH-555? That road is great. If not - well then ride it next time you're there! |

No, no, no. Don't tell anyone about this riding area. It has been my "secret" stomping grounds for years, lol. When I do tell folks that some of the best riding is in that part of Ohio they don't believe me, sort of look at me funny. Fine, stay away, more room on the roads for me. And, it is only 50 miles from Pgh. Seriously though, that area has some of the best riding on the east coast, and I would say that Rt 555 beats the Dragon hands down for a great riding road, not only is there little traffic, it is about 6 times longer than the Dragon. Just don't tell anyone! |

Oh well, I guess we can't keep an entire state a secret Barkbuster!! Glad you enjoyed the roads, there is some great riding all throughout that SE quadrant of Ohio. Hope you can make it back there someday since it is hard to do the area justice in just a day or two. |

I'm heading that way in about 3 weeks for a group ride. We will be staying in Parkersburg, WV and riding into OH from there. |

Thanks for the tip! I'm gonna head "east" (roughly) after Homecoming (one month trip total), and I'll definitely try to work SE Ohio into the itinerary. Actually, I've heard about that area before, but nice confirmation. --Doc |

A friend had told me about it, so last year coming back from the MotoGP round in Indianapolis so I put it on my route plan. Best part was after 555 I ended up on 50 through West Virginia. Nice! |

thanks Pabuell. I had help getting around from my friend from Mi.He`s been riding his wee-strom around there a couple years now and finally got me to go.My new Uly was a big factor too. My Bmw r100rs would have been only half as much fun cause its not capable of running the pace we did nor as comfy. l8r bb |
