Ah, 8:30 is a little late for us. It's Eva's bedtime... and we're still at least 45 minutes away from where you'll be staying. So, don't think we'll be out Saturday night. On Sunday we're going to Discovery Days at Deer Lake in Burnaby. It's from 10 to 4 so I don't think we'll be out Langley way to watch Cody race either.  Wishing you guys luck! Harv hope we see you on Sunday. Not sure where we are staying the Ramada is full. I checked the Travel Lodge and they have plenty of rooms. I know it's a holiday and all but I did not think Langley BC would be a big attraction. Oh that's right there having motorcycle races at the mall. Mike | ||

Mike, We will see you guys for sure. Well SPLASH participants, it's almost time. Any Canadians that are heading down on Friday morning who want to ride together can meet for breakfast in Cloverdale if you want. Last year we met at Denny's in Blaine but we could meet at De Dutch Panakoek House at Hwy 10 and 176th. Anyone interested?  Harv | ||

Bib, We'll have a couple of friends along on this SPLASH trip. They have to drop their kids off in Langley that morning. (Somewhere near 200th or something) so we'll be riding out that way with them. Leaving our place in Burnaby at 8:00 am. We plan on taking 264th down to the border. What time are you meeting for breakfast? We're taking Hwy 9 down toward Woodland, Wa. Boogie on down to Horseshoe Lake for the BBQ! Lo | ||

Lo- You are such a great writer. I enjoyed reading your article and looking at all the pictures. Also a good time to look back at last years SPLASH ride. I look forward to seeing you in a few weeks. Well Mike and Cody are on the other side of the border by now. The border patrol is probably going to start to think they are drug runners with all the border crossing they have been doing lately (LOL). Cody was really excited about this race and has been talking about it all week. They got loaded up and headed out about 11am to go and make the rounds to get everyone else and all their equipment. It should be a fun weekend for them and much needed to quiet time for MOM! See you soon Kimberlie | ||

I'll bet Cody's excited! He's so lucky to be living the dream I'll bet most guys on this board wish they could!  And kudos to you for having some quiet time at home! That's a rare thing around here. Don gets the quiet time while Eva and I run around everywhere LOL. We're heading up to my folks cabin this next wknd, then I'll be home just in time to pack for SPLASH - yeah!!! Lo- Yes I will be going on SPLASH.... I would not miss that! Mike however will not be going this year. Cody has a ride that same weekend here in Portland and it will be the first ride where all three of the kids will be there to race, so he doesn't feel like he can miss it. Mike will be at PIR all day Sat and Sun. Matt flies into town on Thursday and he will be my "date" for the weekend to make sure I get where I am suppose to be. He will ride Mikes daytona. Mike will be at the lake on Friday to help with the Bar-B-Que and enjoy visiting with everyone. See you there! Kimberlie | ||

Kimberlie, Taylor and I went out to watch some of the racing and Cody is lookin' good! We watched some practice sessions and one of the pocket bike races. Cody got the holeshot and was first through turn one. I think he finished 4th. Impressive! We couldn't stay for the race after lunch but Cody is getting better and better. Harv- Thanks for the update. He has been working really hard. He spent last weekend at the go-cart track near our home riding with Dave and Beni. Dave spent hours riding with them teaching them how to find a spot to pass and then how to execute the pass. He is coming along. I am so proud! Thank you for going out and supporting him that means a lot to me and I am sure Cody and Mike appreciate it too! See you soon, I am so excited for SPLASH. Kimberlie | ||

Cody was great! He was cutting the corner at the back of the straightaway too soon in practice and corrected it for the race, picking a perfect line. What a riot! Re SPLASH Jim and I were feeling that the breakfast at Blaine cost us visiting time at the lake. What say we arrive already fed at whatever meeting point , drink coffe til all show, and then bust a move? | ||

Eric, Last year it was my fault that we were so late as I had a conference call that I couldn't get out of. I'm good with eating at home. Lo and Don are planning on leaving Burnaby around 8:00, that should get them into Langley (around 200th)at 8:30ish I'm guessing. How about the Starbucks beside Safeway at 200th and the Langley By-Pass at 8:30? We'll fire back espressos continuously until we're ready to go and we'll be at the BBQ in record time!  Harv | ||

Hey gang. Starbucks at 8:30 Friday sounds doable to me too. I thought Lo and Don where heading straight down to the lake. I still vote for the route through Randal and the backside of St. Helens to the lake. At that departure time we will still be at the lake with plenty of social time still on the clock. | ||

Loni Sorry to advise that Stu won't be joining us this year. He recently had the cast removed and his wrist/forearm aren't up the task of such a spirited ride. Stu is really bummed about it too. He hasn't missed a SPLASH yet. We are hoping that Kimberly will step up and attend as the Deeley House of Buell representative. Come on Kimberley! FunJimmy |
