I Have gone though most of the search results already, and while there was lots of talk there weren't many pictures.... BTW, can the search results be ordered by date? Anyway I got home today and noticed this:
Waaaaaaaa! Back to the dealer . . . Popped off the puck:
What is that solid stuff in there? Gasket/ O Ring material? Guess I already have the rev B cover so all I need is the X2086.1AM kit right? I have spun the puck upside down to contain the leak. My real question is... When the dealer gets the parts in, How long does it take them to do the repair? |

Looks like the old style sleeve to me, get the updated parts this time. Mine has been dry since the upgrade, I check it often. |

Mine may trickle a little over time, about enough that I wipe a drop off every time I fill up. However, mine has never looked dirty or gunky like that. My leak is always much more thin and clear, and has never actually looked like dirty motor oil. Do all of you other owners out there have the leak that looks like that? Or, why is mine so "clean" looking? |

Mine was also clean and after the Rev B and updated parts still shows a slight weep. Not enough to stop riding but it's clear the issue is not cured. |

why does the cover look like the bike has been dropped? did the leak start before or after it hit the puck on the ground? |

Well there has always been a little oil, I'll call it residue, in there. I first checked it back when the bike was new and learned of the clutch weep. It was always nasty looking like it does now, even with 100 miles on the bike. You guys think its dirty because its deteriorating something in the leaking process like the seal(s) itself? Yes the bike was dropped, well actually some drunk ass backed his truck into her and knocked her over. I have easily put 1000 miles on her since the fall, plus I have seen on her were guys have ground the clutch cover itself and had no leak after, so I don't think that's whats causing the issue. |

What Do Ya Know? The fluid is all dirty... Used to be clear... Anyone else run into this? |

Yep, the fluid on mine was black as night just before she let go. I had no clutch for the 12 mile ride home...that was interesting. The dealer put on the Rev B clutch cover and replaced all the internals, not just the o-rings. Or so they said...something to that effect. No issues since then, but its only been a few miles. Now, on a side note...and talking like your father. With the shenanigans you've been posting on here, including the pictures to prove it...all I can say is, what do you expect? You ride is like you stole it and things start to break down. Okay, no more soap box...but please be safe. Ps...not saying he's crying or whining or anything. And I am sure he is fully aware of what he is doing...Just had to play preacher for a bit that's all. No need to get into a riding style pissing contest. If there was no warranty issue with the clutch weep.... And I had been ridding the shit out of it for the last 7 miles on the way home WFO, as i was, hehe then i would have posted on here: Oops... My fault! This is a race bike right? |

You know, the warranty issue brings up an interesting point. I have an 08 June build, which we all no was rife with clutch leakage issues. Hence the warranty fix to the rev c cover and stuff. However, you have a CR that already has the "right" cover. I would have expected the internals to be upgraded from the factory. I will admit since I got my 08 fixed I haven't been following clutch leak threads that diligently...have others with what I see as the upgraded cover from the factory been having clutch weep issues?

I dunno what the new piston looks like, but above Chevycummins said that mine looks to be the old style. My bike is a Dec. 08 build, which is not far from yours... |

Clutch fluid getting dark is a common issue on the Suzuki SV1000. I changed my clutch fluid and it was starting to darken after just a few hundred miles. I bled it again and filled with clean fluid and it took a lot longer before it started to darken, but it did start to darken. So, is it a common issue on the 1125R? I'm not sure--I'm just noting that it's not unique to our Buells. |

I am at 17K miles, and my fluid is crystal clear...That's why I asked the question. Not sure what the cause may be, but "mine don't look like dat". |

Took it in to HD last night and they have everything from the clutch out to the puck on order... Sweet I even get a new puck for free! Awe, that makes me happy.! Hopefully those guys are changing their ways. And the service manager is awesome. I'm still ridding till the parts come in. I can't even see inside the res. since the fluid is so dark lol. "hey just keep an eye on the fluid bud, and bring it in if you need a refill." Oh ya 2010 taillight also on order.... YEAH BUDDY! |

Is there a service bulletin or anything for the updated clutch cover? Anyone know? I'm wanting to get mine replaced so I can put the EBR covers on, and they fit properly with the B covers. |

I dunno if it's a service bulletin, but it's a know issue with the dealers. I mentioned it to them and that's all it took for them to order the parts. Not sure if you are not having an issue, if they will do the work... |

After the service department manager agreed that my clutch weep was getting worse, I had my 08 clutch parts upgraded in January. It took a few phone calls on my part to Harley customer service, then when I brought the bike in and all parts list i had gathered on BadWeb, the dealer still had to call HD Tech support and work with them. The tech line knew what was going on and after a couple of phone calls, the dealership had a RO# and warrantied my clutch cover to the Rev B cover, replaced the piston/sleeve with the new x2086.1am kit and the o-rings/gaskets/fluid/labor that it involved. When I had it done, there was no TSB. Hence, all the phone calls by myself and the dealership to get things sorted out. That was in January. Don't know if anything's changed since then. Hope that helps. |

is it possible to get the update before it starts to leak? I have a july 08 build so it's probably inevitable... |

How many miles you got on her? I have 5230 on mine... Started leaking at 5k. and its only about a drop that comes out after a 65 mile ride. Pour some dirty brake fluid on it and take it in... Haha that should get you some new parts.. |

My bike has about 6000 Total on it, leak was slight for the last 2000 and was slowly getting worse. I haven't had much seat time since the fix in January, but not a single drop of oil's been on the clutch cover since the work was done. My warranty expires next month. I was biting the bullet to get things done before the deadline. Your warranty expires 2 years after original purchase; how much time is left with your warranty? Ride the piss out of it, clutching all the time to wear down the piston/sleeve and hope you develop a leak before the warranty expires. |

I have the super duper extended warranty deal... Like 6 years or something? I'll definitely be using it to its full extent. It has already paid for its self. not to mention it covers tires... |

I just have the normal warranty. It was like another 1,000 plus dollars to extend...didn't have the cash to spend another 1,000 dollars..... |

I just did my 6200 mile service last night, and noticed that my clutch fluid is black. The transmission is getting a little clunky and I am wondering if there is a connection. I think I'm going to replace the clutch fluid this weekend and see what happens. |

How does one identify the newest "fix" parts? Can it be id'd from the outside? |

Can't be ID'ed easily as its the guts that have been changed, not the cover. If yours dosen't leak, don't worry about it! |
