Anyone ever try, successfully, to remove the pin stripe around the rim...mine's red. If so, how? |

Yeah, exactly, I'm guessing the wheels are powdercoated and the stripe is paint, so....would lacquer thinner or something similar (ie carb cleaner) remove the stripe without hurting the powdercoat? |

You could put black vinyl rim stripes over it then you can always go back to stock easily |

Be careful with lacquer thinner on the wheels..you don't want to screw up the finish. I doubt they 'painted' it. |

i hate the jap stripes as well. next winter my wheels is going to be painted higloss black. |
