I know where to find recall info (http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/cars/problems/recalls /recallsearch.cfm). So that is no problem at all. Does anyone know where to find a list of "free" optional replacements? That is if any exist. For example on the '09, one can have, it seems, their charging system harness replaced for free. If you have a link, please post it. |

I work for a dealership that is a recall due to over heating in the charging system. The kit wires in a relay to disable one leg of the stator to keep the temps down under certain loads. It is only aplicable to the updated charging systems on the 09 and later engines. IT DOES NOT REPLACE THE CHARGING SYSTEM HARNESS. |

Job time listed on the paperwork is 1.5 hours. The tech that did mine said it looked more like 2 hours for his first one. He might be a little faster after doing a few though. |
