Try T-Rex, they are priced the same or a little cheaper. |

Wow! Quite a lot of marketting for non-sponsors in this thread! ac |

I have a set of the Handy's and they don't work too well with the 1125. As far as the sponsor issue is concerned, no harm no foul. I only visit the site to learn about my bike, this requires some, exploration. (Message edited by macchiato on November 30, 2009) |

Is the rear wide enough to support the R swingarm without modding the stand? |

We are only allowed to learn about sponsor products for our bikes on this forum. I am sure there is a sponsor that sells a stand that works perfect for the 1125. The 1st two posts REALLY look like marketing for those "craigslist" stands. ac |

Anthony: I mentioned T-Rex. I'm not selling for T-Rex nor am I making any $'s by mentioning T-Rex. If John is not profiting by mentioning those stands then IMHO he is just offering up an alternative. If he has some "interest" in that company then he is going over the "sponsor" line. Just my $0.02. |

Ccryder, you got it, I just found it on craigslist as my first post says. I don't know the guy who makes these, but I thought it was of value. So I asked if he mind that I post his number from his add. |

Take a look at the post by Blake in the swing arm spool thread: "Intended or no, Trolling the market on BadWeB for a friend or any non-sponsor is a blatant violation of the BadWeB Terms of Use. Please avoid that." I guess your HO and $0.02 don't jive well with Blake's. ac |

Look, our options are limited. We can piss and moan or we can pull our resources together and develop the 1125. I prefer to be part of the solution. BTW found this but I don't think there is an application for the 1125. http://xtcommerce.motorradteile-bursig.de/product_ info.php?language=en&info=p33_Paddock-Racing-Stand -Yamaha-YZF-R6---2006---2009.html |

So your telling me that I can only talk about what the sponsors offer? I'm sorry I'm daft, I'm here to expand horizons. Not to offend or take money away from the sponsors. |

That is what Blake (site owner) has seaid repeatedly in the past and what is posted in the rules you agreed to abide by when you signed up. I am not trying to start a war or anything, I am just trying to keep anyone from getting scolded. ac |

I don't know if you can say that. I have noticed the different heights. I used a stand with equal height front and it was a little shaky, but it worked. I will be using one that grabs from the triple tree in the future. ac |

Anthony: Urination contest aside, Blake is not shy if there was an issue. Granted since he hasn't reached the all-seeing, ever-present status (at least as of yesterday), I sure he appreciates all of us trying trying to help the BWB cause. That being said, on my stands I did have to modify the rear slightly and I added a 1" long x 0.25" piece of key-stock on the bottom of the swingarm (where there is already a slight boss) to keep the stand from sliding down the swingarm. The front stand will either work to support the bottom of the form legs or, it has a pin to insert into the hollow steering stem (that is my preference). Later All. Neil S. |

The issue is not talking about non-sponsor products. The issue is blatant advertising or marketing on behalf of non-sponsor products. Those rear stands won't likely fit a Buell anyway and they appear to be ripoffs of the original Pitt Bull stands and are very likely made in China. |

Neil, That is a neat idea adding the key stock to provide a "stop" for paddle stands. Did you weld it, or just epoxy adhesive it? ac |

From the Terms of Use which we all agreed to honor when registering on the Buell Forum here:
Absent permission from a board custodian, I will refrain entirely from the promotion and/or marketing of commercial merchandise or other similar/competing web sites. The thread title and opening two posts were obviously blatant advertising. Those posts have been removed. The privilege to post advertising is reserved strictly for the Buell enthusiasts who sponsor and thus fund the ongoing maintenance and operation of the site here. Thanks for understanding, and a huge thank you to all who try their best to help maintain the integrity of our community here. I can't thank you enough. Blake - BadWeB Custodian |

AC: JB Weld is my friend, or something similar. I did remove the powder coat first, the epoxy didn't want to hold too good b4 that. Blake: Is it still warm in TX? We got really frosted this AM with freezing fog. Almost too much fun. Thanks for the great iPhone app ;+}. Neil S. |

Don't know since I have not tried. I can think of a few issues that would have to be resolved to post a pict. I'll just bet someone has done it. I've only had my iPhone since 5Oct09 so I'm a relative newbie. |

Those rear stands won't likely fit a Buell anyway and they appear to be ripoffs of the original Pitt Bull stands and are very likely made in China. Hate to contradict wild speculation with annoying facts, but: Met and talked to this guy today, and did a trial fit on my 2009 1125. His stands are not in fact wide enough, they are about the same width as the regular Pit Bull stand. They could be bent/spread to fit but I'm not interested in that. They have significant design differences from a Pit Bull and are no more a "ripoff" of their design than anyone else's paddock stands are. They are not made in China, but in El Cajon, CA by a fabricator who deals primarily in offroad bike and ATV equipment. He took some measurements and says he'll see if it's feasible to widen his stand by 1-1.5" for the next batch. I'll almost certainly have an appropriate stand already by then, but if he emails me that he has something that works, I'll post a notice on any forums I'm a member of that approve such activity. Not here, obviously. KeS |

Just PM me or email me what he comes up with. I'm glad you put forth the effort because I really want a front and rear stand at a fair price. I found a good deal at "flyncycle" for bike stand sets, but I don't want to take a chance on them and they not fit the wider 1125 swing arm. |
