Will a throttlemeister fit the Uly with the guards? Is one preferred over the other for the ULY? Have a new XT and starting to outfit for longer trips... Thanks, D |

Give this a gander. I don't have one (yet $$$), but it's on my list. I've seen one installed and I think it's the sweetest throttle control devise out there. http://www.happy-trail.com/Products/Cruise-Control -%28by-Kaoko%29-for-Buell-Ulysses__ADVKHD-BUB.aspx |

I've got the Throttlemeister on my Uly. It's OK, but for really long rides a Crampbuster has proven more helpful. The Throttlemeister is held in with bolts from the sides. I added a fender washer and screwed the ends of the handguards in with the bolts, not tightening them enough to damage the handguards but enough to hold the bar ends on. Hope that makes sense. A picture would probably explain better. Doing this widens the guards a bit, so they're slightly closer to your hands, but this hasn't caused a problem yet. |

Hmm, yeah - I guess this was the one you were asking about in the first place. I've never used either, but taken a close look at them both, installed. The Kaoko is much nicer. |

I had a Kaoko on both BMW GS's I owned. It works great. I've never tried a throttlemeister, but, I would guess the Kaoko would be better because of the knurled knob that it has. It's very easy to use, and, works well. You can decide whether it's worth $150... |

Its worth the 150 to me - Unlike a $150 tire... ya only have to buy it once. |

I use the Kaoka throttle lock on my Uly...and love it. Expensive, but worth it. I just ordered a Throttlemeister for my new 1125R...we will see which I like better. The Kaoka works great with the hand guards, but it is very light and therefore does not do the job of weighted bar ends. The Throttlemeister does make for good weighted bars ends, but I didn't think it would look right with the hand guards. |

I bought a Throttle Meister used from someone here for $75.00. It's awesome, It went on with no problem as I used a heat gun to bend the Uly handguards out a bit further to clear it. |

I had a Kaoko on both BMW GS's I owned. It works great Jim, Just curious, how come you moved away from the GS? I was faced with the same decision before buying the Uly. D |
