Mine came with the bike, so I have not tried the stock windscreen. I am 6' with 32" inseam. If I have the air adjusted so it hits my helmet it is nice. If I adjust it to try to get the air over my helmet I get a bad thumping sound (sounds like a helicopter) in my helmet. This sound was not bad when it was hot out, but got worse when the temps changed and the air became more dense. Maybe I need a taller windscreen for the winter? |

I'm 6'2" with 32/33 inch inseam. I have the madstad brackets and I have 3 different shields. - Stock Windsheild for Summer - Parabellum 16" for fall / early winter - Parabellum 28" for winter They all serve a specific purpose.. could not find one single screen that did everything I needed. With the 28" Parabellum, I had to remove the Thumb Screws and replace with standard hardware (Mark @Madstad sent me the hardware) as the Shield would slowly move backwards. Last year when I emailed Mark he said they had not tested it with anything over 16" or so. With each screen you can get it so there is minimal turbulance, but there always seems to be some wind noise. There is a lot of trial and error involved and what works for one may not work for another. As a side note, I stopped by to see Charly @Parabellum a week ago.. he said that he and Mark @Madstad were going to do something together.. but I didn't get any more detail than that. Or get the Palmer brackets. Far more adjustability and lower cost. Plus he's a BadWeb advertiser. |
