I believe by law harley has to provide parts for the next ten years after the last production year "2010".You should be able to order from any harley dealership until 2020.But keep in mind 2012 is the end of the world.... |

My dealer said they plan to support the line for 7 years. That seems pretty thin to me. Anyone have any actual information? Anony --- please? |

Harley announced parts for 7 years ... the only problem is that Harley may not be around in 7 years! I would want filters, belts ... and parts necessary for future valve adjustments.. |

You all are wondering over nothing. Parts will be available. History repeats it's self. I predict by the time that you can't buy anything for the Buell 11/Helicon...everyone posting now will either already have gotten rid of theirs, too old to ride... ...or dead. |

if i can still buy every single part for the 1974 triumph TR-6 british sports car sitting in the garage today, i have NO concern about being able to buy 1125 parts indefinitely. hell when i had my S2 thunderbolt, i could still get every single piece of body work, gauge, footpeg mount etc... and buell only made like 1300 of those... FOURTEEN YEARS AGO! you all are acting like this is y2k. get a grip. (Message edited by pizzaboy on October 18, 2009) |

And don't forget Buell didn't make the motor. Nissin, EBC and others will still make brake pads. Same with the belts. |

"History repeats it's self" Well said -- that is, the pundits on this Board have shown they can't predict anything about Buell. Parts should be available, but at what price and at what leadtimes. Right now we can buy them at steep discounts to already low retails, through various online sellers -- but at some point prices should rise. In my experience, leadtimes for spares has approached 3 months through local dealers and through online sellers; though 1 month is more typical. Board posters like sly, court, blake and carbon didn't predict this failure by Erik Buell, and they won't predict his next one, either. I've ordered up on spares, and the rest of you should, too, unless you ride your bikes just a few times a year and can afford to wait long periods. If any of the above-mentioned take this personally, YOU SHOULD. Your sanctimonious attitudes about Buell, Erik, H-D customer service, and Buell owners who've been less-than-satisfied are now proven inadequate and misleading. I ride daily, and had to wait more than a month just for front pads. Don't listen to those who have nothing to lose if your bike's not on the road when you need it. |
