Had a fantastic, fun ride, love the bike and am leaning towards the 2010 X model, but this bike was HOT! I mean it was so hot the right frame rail made a red mark on the inside of my leg (wearing jeans). Question to all here, has the new "Comfort Kit" really cooled the bike down ? Or, has anyone had a chance to test ride a 2010 X to see how much difference there is. Thanks, Gs |

Paintman: Read the extensive write ups on the comfort kit. Pages and pages of stuff including photos of install etc. Just several post down from yours. I would suggest you look in the archives first and just read on through. Very, Very good and comprhensive info there. Have a fun read |

Also keep in mind that as the engine breaks in it will start running cooler as it loosens up. |

Also keep in mind that as the engine breaks in it will start running cooler as it loosens up. I am a recently new Uly owner and I can say definately the first 500-1000 miles were way hotter than the last 5000. |

Much of the heat comes down to gear too. I know in my leathers, the Uly can be a touch warm, but in anything else, it can become a big crotch/inner thigh/ass roasting machine. The easy fix is to find some twisties and get off the saddle. |

The kit is that good. Right frame and left frame on my '06 are the same temp now that I have the kit installed. See the comfort kit thread. |
