M2me, this thread can be very confusing and is basically here for us to vent and rant about absolutely nothing or to just pick on Charlotte!!! hehehehehehe I feel your pain Crusty, After the torrential rainfall and the quick freeze two days ago it was like skating around here. Overnight about an inch of very light and fluffy snow fell covering the already slippery ice, my wife came out of the house noted how slippery it was by stating "Holy Fuck, who buttered the ice", I almost pissed myself laughing and I really don't know why I found it so funny. I can't make the letters any bigger either but: WINTER SUCKS |

Naw, The entire point of this thread is so Newfie has an outlet for his sexual frustrations... You know how cold it is up there... things tend to 'fall off' when exposed. Charlotte PS Last time I checked it was spelled 'sword'. |

Well, I think a Rapier is a small lightweight sword similar to one used in fencing. Charlotte remember its not the size of your sword but how you wield it. (is that a word) As for sexual frustration, not happening here, what do you think we do up here when its too cold to go outside, (comming from a guy with 4 very young kids) Charlotte come on over for a visit I have a couple of single friends (yes I have friends) that would love to show you some good old Newfie Hospitality. hehehehehe |

According to The American Heritage® Dictionary: Rapier, 1. A long, slender, two-edged sword with a cuplike hilt, used in the 16th and 17th centuries. 2. A light, sharp-pointed sword lacking a cutting edge and used only for thrusting. |

Brust is good reading. In Fencing, there are (if I remember) 4 main classes. From light to heavy, foil (real skinny square section), Eppe ( L section ), Schlager (oval or diamond section), and Sabre (like a calvary sword). Schlager is the same weight & size as a Rapier. I'm just learning foil. Mostly I fight (SCA rules) broad sword. |

I entered a small local bike show here...I rode my bike in through a light rain that morning. I could've won dirtiest in show. My bike had the most mods of all the sportbikes...but most people thought my bike came from the show room as it was Sucks to have the bike nobody knows. Oh well. A guy with a Cafe'd 70's CB750 won best in show. A few people noted my work...but not the ones that mattered! I was happy to see that the judges at least ignored the store bought choppers. Cookie cutter choppers... |

Crusty, Add these to your WINTER SUCKS list. These are pictures of St. Anthony, NL which is located on the tip of the Great Northern Peninsula. Last week a storm hit them for 24 hrs dumping all kinds of snow on the town. There were kids trapped in schools for two days straight while the town was trying to dig them out. Here are some pictures of homes and streets. I am located in St. John's and St. Anthony is much farther north and is very close to Labrador. I think the guy in the first picture is actually standing on his house. I can barely see shingles under the snow.
