Just wondering since I would rather not see a Uly as an end table. |

It's a sportbike as in 'athletic'. It's definitely not a lounger My unqualified guess is the Uly won't be cubed anytime soon. |

Jon Q Public, did not see the blast as a sportbike, so they cubed it. As far as I observed. Jon Q Public, dose not see the Uly as a sportbike either, so they could cubed it. This from a guy who loves his sporty Uly. In the right hands its a sleeper. |

The Uly was classified as a sport bike by my insurance company (Progressive) when it first came out. This was a bad thing since the policy rate reflected this classification. I wrote them a letter and clipped articles in an effort to convince them otherwise. I was successful. The bike was reclassified and my policy rate dropped dramatically. So, if the Uly gets cubed, I will accept my share of responsibility. ha! (Message edited by tginnh on August 04, 2009) |

I still pay $3k for 6 months with progressive, but then again being 23, male, two bad wrecks, and an 1125CR don't help. |

I'm paying $540 a year with Progressive, Full coverage plus the medical rider. 53, no wrecks yet, no performance awards (not that I don't deserve one), just the Uly. |

I was wrong about my rate, it's $373.00 per year. The $540.00 was when I had two bikes on the policy. $107.00 of that is the Medical Payments Rider and $52.00 is coverage for my utility trailer. So $214.00 is my full coverage on the bike including Roadside Assistance. |

Point your browser over to KillBoy's site, and notice how everyone's bike is sitting super low up front from about turn-in up to the apex. It's just the way motorcycles work, especially those with some cornering loads. |

I don't rate the Uly as a sportsbike. You can ride it like one, but it's a far more versatile vehicle than that. If you put two equally skilled riders on a good road with a Uly and a modern Jap or European Sportsbike - the guy on the Uly is chewing fumes. The reverse applies if the road turns to crap. |

Depends on how many straights there are. Few straights where the IL4 can get wound out and it'd be a lot closer. |

On a reliable surface it doesn't matter how twisty or straight it is - The 170 horsepower job's exit speeds and velocity between the bends destroy any advantage the XBs have carrying speed through the corners. 1125 and yer in with a show. |
