I have been seeing alot of stuff on here about peoples rear shocks leaking. My question is, how do I really know if my rear shock is leaking. What are some of the signs that I have a problem with my rear shock. Thanks for any info you can give me. Matt Tully |

Is it bouncy as hell, do you feel your rear fender bottom out. Is there oil leaking out of the shock body. If any of these symptoms are present then you have a blown shock. |

Mine just started as a little drop at the rear of the shock. I thought it was an engine oil leak at first. Then it started to leave stains around the holes on the rear of the shock. Then the bouncing started. I bought a new shock off Ebay a while ago and it's on the bike now. I'm going to send mine to Race Tech to get rebuilt to have for a spare. |

X1, no, mine is not having any of those problems. I guess it is just set up a little soft. Its not leaking or bottoming out or anything like that. So I guess it is good then. 5liter, how much is going to cost you to have Race Tech rebuild the shock???? |
