I'm sure it's been covered here in the past, but perhaps someone could point me in the right direction or to the correct archive. I'd like to lower my '07 about an inch or two. I've already exchanged the seat with one from an '06 which did help a bit. Any suggestions you guys can offer would be great. Thanks, Chris |

The most "thorough" way to do it is substitute XB12XT suspension front and rear. Cost is about $1200 IIRC. Cheaper alternatives are to install an XB12XT, XB12S or other shock in rear. Install Precision Engineering 1" bar risers in front and drop the triple trees on the forks by a similar amount. |

I started thread called Lowering Feedback. Got a lot a good feed back. I have an 08. Lowered it using a STT rear and dropped the triple trees. It has worked out good. |

I just had my 2007 Uly lowered by GMD Computrack down in Jasper, Georgia. They did a fine job of it...the bike sits perfectly for me now and rides and handles quite a bit better than it did when it was new wearing stock parts. If you have the cash for it, it's the way to go. |

I searched for the lowering thread with no luck. I've been googling badweb for about forty minutes to see if a xb12s shock will bolt onto my ulysses. I know a few people have made the swap, but I'm trying to find out if it's a bolt-over, or if I need to do anything crazy to make it happen. Thanks dudes. Sean |
