Love the TT number plates on the Uly...and do I spy an XB race muffler on there too??? Grr...wish I could find one for *my* Uly....although I'd trash the bellypan in seconds with what I do to my bike, lol.
I haven't had time to upload all my pics from Homecoming. But I hope to this evening. I also have a video of the ride down to the HD museum. I was directly behind Barnes, Bilasnky, and Eslick. But they just didn't screw off enough!
All in all, an awesome weekend with only one small casualty. Trackdad went down right outside of Road America on his deuce. Curiously, there was an accident in the EXACT same spot minutes earlier. So we're all guessing there was some oil that made trackdad go down. He's far too good of a rider to just go down like he did. He does do trackdays with us
Thinking he broke his leg, he got a cushy, warm, and dry ride in an ambulance to Sheybogan hospital. Pinkie, No_rice and I left RA shortly after the races to the hospital. 1st time I've EVER had to stop under a freeway overpass. I just couldn't see any longer with the driving rain, and my glasses fogging up.
BudC from Hals was our savior for the day. within 45 minutes of my phone call to him, He was on the road with his Excursion, and his huge(holds 8 Buells)trailer. So we all got a warm cushy ride back home.
Turns out Trackdad's injury wasn't as serious as initially thought. Just a sprain. The Deuce didn't fair as well. Looks like a slightly tweaked fork leg, some bent bars, and something with the primary allowing it to leak.
Sunday was spent at the HD museum with No_rice, trackdad, pinkie, and carparts009(aka Mohawk Matt). And we ALL figured out why no_rice loses phone numbers from gorgeous females
With Buell not having much of a budget for Homecoming this year, a huge thanks goes out to Hals, BudC, and Kirk Toppel for stepping it up this year for us Buellers.
BrewCity Thunderbikes intro'd new t-shirts at homecoming.
And I hate to be a nit-pick, but Hal's has some serious concrete issues to deal with in the Buell-A-Vista Garden. Hope they get this taken care of pronto before somebody gets hurt.
Squidbuzz thats a good pic but not where I found that one.
When were those "shirts" at Hal's? I never saw them on that 1125R on Friday. Must have been Thurs.
On a serious note the concrete was kinda rough and I did witness a few near falls and twisted legs including some with the initials EB that almost hit the ground.
I got the impression that the Thunderbikers had already paid for their shirts in advance. A club thing as opposed to a Buell Freeby. I looked in the collar of one of the shirts and it had the Bar and shield tag. Official gear, Somebody jumped through some hoops.
Yes, hoops were jumped. But it was entirely through official channels. The shirts are 100% approved by Buell. But they couldn't be sold for profit. It helps to have friends in high places once in a while
We tried like crazy to get the "new" pegasus logo. But that wasn't allowed... Yet.
