FB- Of course there will be women on this ride - cool chicks! Debbie, Lonnie & Lo Lo to name a few of the coolest! hi Kimberlie i've ridden several times over the years with the three ladies you mention above, and have to agree with you on the "coolest" part! one of my favorite road trips of all-time was riding back to Sturgis with Debbie and Bob, us guys on our Buells, Deb on her Electra-Glide and pulling a trailer. it would seem on the surface that Deb would have been at a disadvantage during our trip in terms of disecting a set of twisties, but that was NOT the case! yep, the more the merrier FB (Eh?) |

Hey Littleone, There are probably several lurkers reading the posts with nothing much to say since the bikes are sitting with no insurance on them. These lurkers are all likely going to be at the bike show except for Gootch who is going to be in Florida....lucky bugger. I will be going with a buddy and we are taking our little guys (his is 3 and mine is 8 years old) I think I can see a couple of dirt bikes in our distant future. I think we might go on saturday night when it is not so packed. Anyway, we haven't gotten washed away. We're just soggy and miserable and trying to tough out the next couple of months til it's time to ride. See Ya Harv |

Speaking of lurking and riding (in no particular order), does anyone reading these post ever hang out at the Flying Swan. It seems like there is a very active bunch that call themselves VROM. Vancouver Riders Of Motorcycles. Just wondering and waiting for SPLASH. Harv |

Harv... I just couldn't put my bike away for the winter i'm still ridding on good days. I agree with Kim your little guy needs a bike. With the trade show i am going on Sat. Well okay am going today to work. I am setting up the lighting for the Harley booth. It seems to me that there are very few Vancouver Buell Riders. Gootch needs to sell more and not go on vacation.... hehe just kidding |

Hello from Oregon. Ferris said some of you people would be comming to SPLASH and might be able to give me some good road advice. I'll be with a small group and we're planning to ride Vancouver Isl. after SPLASH. Rough plan is to ferry from Port Angeles to Victoria, and then ride up to Port Hardy and over to Winter Harbour. Then we'll ferry across and come down the sunshine coast through Vancouver and Blaine. We'll be camping. I have spent time commercial fishing the Straits of Georgia, and the outside water along Van. Isl., but have only spent a couple days on the Isl. Any suggestions on what to see and do while there? Any special roads we shoud check out? Thanks. Paul |

Harv. If you take the little spuds you won't be able to hang out in the beer gardens! Bad plan! That's where Jim and I will be! And its your round! |

I know, I know..... the little guy is 8 and no motorbike yet. Well I think that he will still be ahead of me as I got my first bike (Keystone Minibike) when I was 12 years old. I proceeded to throw a rod through the front of the motor when I found you could go faster by bending the governor. But that's pretty typical of a Buell rider isn't it? (The need to go faster, not the blow up part......so much) Snail - I don't spend too much time on Van. Island but I can tell you that the road from Parksville to Tofino/Uclulet is great. It goes from the east coast of the island to the west coast and you have to come back the way you came but it's twisty and fun. Camping at long beach is pretty nice. Eric - What time are you guys going? We are planning to go around 5:30 or so. I could probably buy you 10 beers for the price you paid for the round at the IMS. Harv

Harv, GET THE BOY A BIKE!!! I also want you to know that I for one am sick of all this rain and want to ride! Florida sounds good, Gootch is a lucky guy. Loni |

Saw none of the crew due to a late arrival. But had a good, thought-provokng time(Falco vs. SV1000, with the Cafe'd Guzzi rattling in the back.) Next years wish list, though. My room is booked, apparently. I'd best double check with Stu. |

We got there around 6:00-6:30 and of course the kids had to sit on every bike there. Can you believe they were trying to sell a ratty '76 Z50 for $1400? That should make my Norton worth ONE MILLION DOLLARS! (said in my best Dr. Evil voice) They had the Mille there and you can't even buy it yet, nice though. Lots of very nice bikes and customs, including a very flashy X1 in the Fat Cats booth. You know that XB9S is really starting to grow on me. With a race kit that might really be a fun bike! I wonder if there's a governor you can bend........ Harv

Interesting article in yesterday's Sun, that ICBC is considering transferable plates! Maybe by net year. That would help the multi-bike owners. And stimulate the economy by encouraging more to become so. |

Hey... yawn, stretch... whad I miss? Oh yeah, there's a message board! I've been in a motorcycle riding withdrawl type haze. Miss riding, especially with everyone. And Ferris... this will be the first SPLASH that I'll be riding along with you. Well, maybe back aways. Alright, alright. Quite aways. haha But you get the point. Litteone, yes there are other Buell riders, sorry for neglecting the boards. Good to have another girl Blast rider around. When my bike's insured, I'd like to hook up. Loni, thanks for setting up the rooms for everyone. We may have a couple of recruits to come along. Can't wait to ride with everyone! SportyEric, that would be really, really cool if the insurance changes. I'd love to have peggy insured year-round! Bob... how's the new bike!?!?! Guess I better read the other section too. Whew... lots to catch up on! |
