I am back to tentative for the ride, due to a knee injury. Ironic, huh? I'll find out for sure Thursday, but it looks like I tore an ACL on the little KLR, and may have chewed up some other bits as well.

No idea when the surgery will happen, nor what state of recovery I will be in when the ride comes around. I will have to play it by ear...

I'll keep you updated!

Really sorry to hear, Reep. : (

Good karma, thoughts and prayers headed your way. Please let us know if there's anyway we can help (I know a good ortho surgeon here in Virginia...)

Reep,

Hope your prognosis is good for your knee. I do have a full set of tools if you're interested trying out some home surgery to speed things up. I could probably get Doc Henrik to guide me through the process via the cell phone. I'll help out in any way that I can. ; )

Doc Henrik has already been guiding me through the process, and it turns out the "default" ortho surgeon referral for my family practice and insurance plan happens to be somebody that did a fellowship at the ISK with Henrik. So it looks like I am in good hands.

Surgery is April 17th. I'm riding until then, and taking an MSF advanced class tomorrow morning just for grins and giggles. Hopefully I can keep riding the street bike even during the recovery. The dirt bike is definately going to be parked for a while though... I thinking of selling it and buying a dedicated woods 2 stroke.

Thanks for the well wishes!

Just the MRI cost 3 times what I paid for the bike.

Talk about false economy....
