Folks, It takes 9 complete turns or 18 clicks on the rear preload to feel any resistance on the the pre-load knob. Is this normal? If not; what symptoms should I look for? |

I couldn't tell ya what's normal but my bike needs like 2-3 full rotations before preload starts to kick in. When I set up my suspension I do not start counting turns until I feel some resistance. |

Same here - a number of turns before there's resistance. I think if you back it all the way off, then *sit* on the bike and start turning, it has resistance much sooner. |

You can look at the lines on the rear side of the adjuster to see where its at.I think if you turn it out to much your off the scale. |

All that matters is the the number of clicks from the first click (that has resistance) to the last click (before the adjuster stops)gives you the full range of adjustment. Slack at the beginning generally means little. Mark in Arizona |

I put a reflective mark on my dial. So that I can keep track of my turning of the knob. Clicks don't work as well for me as a visual reference. |
