So is anybody thinking of the Buell homecoming? I know the people at Buell were saying come back for the same next year but it seems it is going to be a lot smaller than last year. |

Lots of people are thinking of homecoming and there will be a large crowd there once again. It's just that Buell is not sponsoring all the extra events that it did last year and that's most likely because of two reasons. (1) the economy is not what it was last year (2) it's not the 25th! But I will predict that there will be a large gathering there to visit the factory and meet all the Buell faithful once again this year. Plus the Buell racing teams will be better than ever at the races up at Road America. I'm getting excited just thinking about that! |

Yeah they changed to a month ahead too. But from what I remember the people I met there are why I want to come back. I also want to make it to the Harley Museum. I wonder if the hotel will offer any kind of discount. The 25th was alot of fun and I hope this one will be fun too. |

So is anybody thinking of the Buell homecoming? Lots of people are thinking about it. It's going to be scaled down from last year, but that's not a bad thing.(I can live without the guided tours and the free Summerfest tickets). The important elements will be there. Like Diablobrian, I can't wait! |

I can't wait for my first. Meet some of you folks, and possibly regret it later! For those that have attended in the past how does one go about getting their bike autographed by Erik? I know he has an autograph session but I don't want to stand in line and push my bike up there. Would like it on the frame not the plastics. |

Usually, to get Erik to autograph something, all you have to do is ask him. |

I posted in the section devoted to Homecoming in the Storm Front section. If Banquet dinner and Hotel/Motel arrangements need to be done this is the time to get something organized. I said I'd help. These things I'm good at and can make arrangements but I don't know what Steve has got going with His Hal's group..... Steve????? The Banquet Dinner can be held 5 miles east of Great Lakes Dragaway right after the Drags if need be. |

Hals is looking in to the hotel thing. They've made multiple, futile phone calls to the powers that be at Buell to get some info from them. So, shortly, if they can't get any answers, they'll work out a deal with a local hotel with better than average rates. I stressed the fact that while last year's host hotel was VERY nice, it was a bit pricey. They understand and will be looking at something cheaper. |

"I don't want to stand in line and push my bike up there." That's what I did last year. There's even a clip of my bike being signed on the 25th recap video on Buell.com (2:12) |

The Country Inn would have to give us one hell of a deal; their cheapest room is $162.00/night. I can stay at the Knight's Inn in Racine for $39.06/night. It won't be as nice, and it isn't as close to the factory, but it costs 1/4 the price. My wallet will be a lot happier. |

You have In-Room parking in ANY hotel on the ground floor. That's why they give you the free daily paper: so you don't leave marks on the carpet. I can get my S3 through every motel door I have attempted. Let the engine cool first or it's gonna be STINKY. |

What's everyone planning for the weekend? Will it just be Friday in East Troy and then relocating to Elkhart Lake for the races? |

Crusty you know where to go. Any of the Hotel/Motels on HWY 20 here in Racine are within 45 minutes or so from the factory and some Wisconsin Rustic Roads along the way. I have a IN for a banquet facility. I know the owner well and can set something up. All I need is for the badweb to make it feel comfortable for me to do so and I can hammer this out farely quickly and letting you guys know whats going on along the way for feedback. I may give Keith Ulicki a call this weekend to see whats going on at Uke's. They have there open house that weekend. I'll see what his plans are. |

And you don't NEED indoor parking in East Troy . . The local PD would be pleased to provide security. We have great relations with East Troy and I still have one "Get out of Jail Free" card from Rich, East Troy's Super Cop. East Troy has great mexican food and we could likely scam the Town Square for a shindig. . stay in East Troy the first night, do the factory deal, then head to the track. Just an idea and it's a chip shot from Hal's |
