Hey Dan! How ya been? You ever going to make it back to Iowa or are we going to have to come to Texas? I can sell rear stands for Buells(no spools) for 117.00 that includes the supports. Shipping will probably run 10-15 bucks. I haven't shipped any yet so I'm not sure. The front stand with pin for your bike will run you $135.00 Ride to the edge! Dave, where the hell were you three weeks ago when I purchased a standard front stand from local crotch-rocket shop in Chicago for $170??? I even tried to haggle with the guy to no avail! I like your prices. I also like Pit Bull products. So you got two good things going for your latest venture. Best of luck. Curt |

If you have any questions about those stands give me a holler I used to sell em when I worked at a "Local Crotch-rocket shop" as Fly so eloquently put it. |

DaveS: That Rocks! I'll likely be calling you after Xmas spending is done. The Pit Bull rear stand is nice but their front stands are w/o question better than anything else out there. |

I got the Pitbull rear stand that adjusts(width) a few years ago and it's really a great unit, real sturdy and can be used on other bikes too. |

Got a call today wondering if I could get stands for all brands or just for Buells. I have lots of stuff available for ALL brands of bikes. Just wanted to clear that up. Ride to the Edge Dave HD/Buell Cycle Center Waterloo Ia 1-800-342-7539 ext 14 dave@iowaharley.com rdcapt@hotmail.com |

Dave - looking at the Pit Bull website - in the customer's bikes section - it looks like Tat Marcy is using a front/rear stand in one photo, and a rear/rear stand in the other photo. Does anybody know what the pros and cons are? Also is shipping better if I order both at the same time? 1996 S1. I'm in California for reference. Tony |

Socal, Not following what you mean by the rear/rear stand? Yes the shipping is less if we can ship both stands at once, they don't weigh much but are bulky to ship. To lift both ends of the bike I would recommend a front and a rear stand. Call me anytime! Ride to the edge! It sure does! I still think the front stand that goes into the neck bolt would work better. Ride to the edge! Dave HD/Buell Cycle Center 4022 Sergeant Rd Waterloo Ia 50701 1-800-342-7539 ext 14 |

Pitbull has an adapter that converts the rear stand to a front stand. A bargain if you don't want to buy separate stands. |

Ahh . . guess I should have dug into the site a little deeper - I think this is what Tat is using in that picture: X1glider - the rear to front converter uses the steering stem lifting point like the newfront stand. |

Yes it does. It's more stable. Just like swingarm buttons are more stable than without. The kind in the pic above is not very stable for removing the wheel and other work around the area. More susceptible to tipovers. Plus it's in the way when wrenching on the axle. |

Yeah plus it's another half a bill to be able to have both lifting options. |

>>Pitbull has an adapter that converts the rear stand to a front stand<< I saw that too and it looks like a great idea but don't all the manuals say not to use the front stand w/o the rear stand? If your rear stand is now your front stand... you're kind of hosed. |

The guys at the track don't have a problem with front stands only when pulling the wheel. But they use the one where the pin fits in the steerer. The one that goes under the axle is the unstable one. |
