650 mile day for me, and the end of my ride will be going through NYC traffic. Gonna take some planning. Might be a good weekend trip though. Nice Pennsylvania twisties all day saturday, sleep in on sunday, then bike talk and a big honkin burger before the sprint back to Connecticut. The more I think of it the better it gets! How are the roads out there that time of year? |

Dan; I bet it's closer to 400 miles for you. I did a Mapquest, and it's 450 from central Mass. Terri and I are thinking of making it a three day ride. Ride down on Saturday, do the burger and BS on Sunday, then going north into New York state and getting a room. Then riding home on Monday. Or maybe just riding secondary roads back across Pennsylvania. A nice laid back Spring ride. Hopefully with a good burger to remember. |

Been there, did the 2 lbs challenge. Stopped on my way back from MidOhio. The burger is disgusting! They pre cook them and toss them on the grill to heat them up before serving. Think of the most disgusting dry meatloaf you've ever had and that's it! But the bun was AWESOME! It tasted like a soft pretzal. Didn't finish the challenge. If the burger was fresh and I wasn't on the bike it would have been done. But I waived the white flag on it. Worth the trip just to say you've tried it. Nice riding too. |

Crusty, it's 325 miles from my house. There and back is 650. Really it is doable, but it makes for a really rough monday. I've been thinking about it today and it seems like I will be able to go, as long as there aren't any suprises before then. |

I'm all over the idea . . . and I note that some of Pennsylvania's most scenic backroads lead directly there, just 40 miles North of I-80. . . . sounds like a capital idea.

I went there last year with 12 riding buddies and we had a 6 pound burger. We couldn't eat it all. We made the mistake of ordering other food too. You all have to stop at the Road Kill Cafe' too in Artimas, Pa My riding buddies are planning on going back up for another huge burger in June. K |

Guys there is a Super 8 motel real close to Denny's Beer Barrel pub. We stayed there. The Motel is clean and good room rates. K |

Crusty, my riding buddies are going up there when the Thunder in the mountains rally is happening the weekend of June 29th. Dick8008 is right about the texture of the burger it looks like meatloaf but it was okay to me. Got to take a camera so you can take pictures of it when the waitress puts it on your table. You have to order the big burgers ahead of time. K |

Some photos from my club's trip to Wellsboro (Pennsylvania's Grand Canyon). For the most part, we were very UNDERwhelmed by the area: http://www.nassauwings.org/photos/2008/0718_Wellsb oro/ I wasn't there... I was on a ship freezing my *** off in Alaska at the time. |

I'm an hour away from PA grand canyon & I only stop there every few years, but there are fantastic roads in the area. I'm in for the burger run! |

>>>we were very UNDERwhelmed by the area: What the heck . . . I'm gonna go take a look anyway. Somehow I suspect I'll find some neat roads on the way. |

I've heard the burgers are fine . . . I'll be going with the regular size burger through. I am a cheeseburger aficionado and am certain that sacrifices, one's I'd not be willing to forgive, are made to make a burger that big. I'll watch Froggy, a confirmed food snarfing maniac, down that pup! |

I will also be getting a normal sized burger, if I got the big burger I would need to ride in someones side car for the way home. After this how about a ride to that Heart attack Grill in Arizona? |
