What a douche. "Keep your ancient satchel off my expensive equipment."
The game was fantastic. I was rooting for the Cards, but it was poetic justice, as a TITANS fan to see Warner come from behind to take the lead only to lose the game in the last few seconds:
Well given their lead and then falling behind and coming back at the end you can'r really say they didn't earn it. They damn near gave it away, but they did earn it.
A nail biter for sure!
I got a good look at the Audi commercial with the Buells in it, pretty cool!
I'd like to know HOW you won money on the Steelers since the line was 6.5 points and they didn't cover. That is unless you took the money line and you would have to bet $200 to win $100.
Arizona had more than their fair share of penalties unbecoming of a proffesional athlete.
If a little beatdown gets your panties in a bunch, you can go back to watching the WPGA.
Anyways, the penalty was for Harrison standing over the player. Last a checked, it wasn't illegal to push a player down while the play is still active. Also he never punched him - he pushed Francisco, open handed. Some are claiming that Francisco was going for Harrison's crotch or knees, but I never saw it. That kind if behavior doesn't come unprovoked.
"Could you pick the Steelers to win in that office pool or was it just a squares pool?"
Squares+ pool where you take scores of both teams, but it was the Steelers kicking the FG in the third quarter that got me 500.00. So its possible that the Steelers (or Cards) could win you money without the Vegas line.
I got in some pool with 100 boxes and it worked the score line and I won $200.00 I didn't even know it till this afternoon. On the hit by the def. guy who got the TD it's Football but if I were an owner and he hit one of my million dollar players like that I'd be pissed for sure and thats what will probably get the guy a dressing down in the off season not really my idea of punishment but thats the uglier side of pro sports MONEY otherwise a great game
That was a fantastic SB!! Almost gave me a heart attack as Steelers fan, but as a Football fan that was a fantastic 4th Quarter finish. The Steelers absolutely EARNED it. Are you kidding me? Down by three with two and half minutes left, have to drive 88 yards and finish with a clutch throw & catch against tight defense. Yeah, that's nothing.
The call on Harrison was ridiculous, for those that do not know football that happens on almost every kickoff or punt return. If the ball was not downed and a run back in progress it likely would not have been called. The problem for the "victim" he was overpowered by the guy he tried to chop block. I'm not crying about it being called though, live with it and move on. Was far from a "dirty" or "thug" play. It's football people.
Both teams played to win through out the game and both deserve to go home with heads held high. Both Class franchises IMHO.
Oh yeah, punching a guy in the back while he is down, away from the play, isnt dirty or thug-ish at all...
Best super bowl of all time, no. Most over officiated with lop sided calls, for sure. The proof is that the entire country, steeler fans aside, is blown away that the refs didnt review the final play.
The MVP of that game should have been Rolle, for his sideline block on Larry before he caught up to Harrison on the longest play ever.
Okay, not really, Big Ben should have been MVP. It was great game, and it was a ton of fun to watch. Both teams really played well, but the Cards really surprised me.
The whole officiating thing was BS. Not reviewing the last call, the BS roughing the passer call, the intentional grounding from Ben that wasn't called. The refs should have been wearing black & gold instead of black & white.
Oh and don't forget the 2 plays that the refs gave Pittsburgh that got overturned after being challenged by Arizona.
I am a Steelers fan from back in the day. The game was great!! There were some great plays accomplished by both teams!! The officiating on the other hand, was questionable...
