Mid 50's on the front range in Colorado this weekend... Official high in N. Texas today: 69. Rode about 160 sunny miles. (I've gotta get my digs in now before Summer rolls around again) |

High was 22F Friday in East Tennessee. NOPE I did not ride. However Thursday the high was 24F and I did a twenty five mile ride. First time I set the Poly Heaters on high(broil). Needed some bacon! |

left Sat morning at 3 degrees and returned 50 miles later at 25 degrees. Pic taken outside of New Castle, Virginia. Every waterway we passed was frozen over.

Current 65 here. Time for a sunday ride, only if I could figure out how to put a car seat on a bike. May be that triple tail would come into use. |

It was 36 today in the DC area...needless to say, I went for a ride. I have some new glove liners that are thicker than the silk ones I normally use. They worked great, but my ride was fairly short. That said, any ride is great. |

The wife and I had a great ride across the AZ dessert with temps in the low 70's. Actually had to take a layer off to keep comfortable. Rode over 100 miles 2 up on dirt roads and jeep trails. The ULY is awsome 2 up even across the washboard roads. Man I'm going to hate moving to NY this spring!!! |

Whelp, We just got back from a 2 dayer and despite the warm temperatures, the places we could comfortably get to were still limited. Yesterday we headed south and stayed pretty much in the foothill areas, ending up in the town of Larkspur where we spent the night some old friends. After an evening of good company and much wine, we headed out fairly early Sunday morning, had breakfast at the Sedalia cafe and headed west towards the town of Deckers, with the intent of riding south into Gold country and the historic town if Cripple Creek. Unfortunately, not too far into the mountains the road condition deteriorated into a muddy, gravel strewn mess with road-wide ice patches in every shaded corner. Were I alone, I may have forged ahead with some caution, but riding two-up with the wife, I just didn't want to risk putt'n it down and bouncing her across the pavement. She's just starting to embrace this whole "riding" thing, so I'll try to keep her early experiences pleasant. After turning back on Hwy 67, we headed back north and enjoyed a pleasant afternoon riding (along with perhaps every other biker in CO)up around Morrison and Evergreen, then road the Peak To Peak Hwy home via Estes park and Lyons. All in all, it was a good weekend of riding; it was just unfortunate that we didn't get to explore the routes we initially had planned. I guess we'll revisit those another day. |

It was 24 with windchill last Sunday and I went out for a 25 mile ride with another dumb guy from work. The Ulysses is still in the shop waiting on a fuel pump line. We rode the bicycles. It may have been the cold numbing my survival instincts, but it was kind of fun. |

Rode in to the IMS Friday night. Don't know the temp. but know it was too cold for every other motorcyclist. I assume this as my bike seems to have been the only bike there. |

I think it hit 73 here in Austin today. 68 tomorrow. Yes, that will make 2 days on the Uly back to back. Yes, I hate me, too. |

High of 61 in Boulder tomorrow - snow by Friday. One week of pleasant commuting. Not bad for the eastern slope in mid-January. Global warming at it's best. |

Wow- we're in the high 30's near Charleston, SC today, but they're calling for falling temps and a 50% chance of snow today. Oh yea, and I'm scheduled to take the new Military Sportbike Riders Course (MSRC) today so I'll be riding. |

Rotorhead- I don't have much info. DoD has just changed the rules for riding on base. Up to now you had to complete the Basic Riders Course and have a motorcycle endorsement on your license. Now you have to have that plus either the Experienced Riders Course or MSRC within 2 years. I asked the instructors about the Uly and they recommended I take the MSRC. Unfortunately, they canceled the class this morning because of the threat of bad weather. More unfortunately, I rode over there through rain and sleet only to find it was canceled. |
