Dennis: And just at the time of day your mind begins to adjust to the "midgets on barstools" reality..... "The Jim's" introduce alcohol into the equation. Think of Timothy Leary meets Jerry Falwell. Uh... did I mention MENTAL, as well as physical, preparation. When you tolerance level begins to build, come see me and I'll give you the talk on the Europeans and Australians. If you've never been to a toga party or don't know what Boone's Farm is, Bonneville, with the Elves, could be difficult to handle. Court |

Yeah,Court, there were a bunch of Hayabusa's there this year, and very few of them were getting in the 190+ range.Course there was the 1650cc one from B.C. that ran over 200--or the turboed one belonging to John Noonan fron S.Cal. that ran 241mph.Only had 450 HP approx.John reminded me of us,he had collected about 5 records on the bike by juggling classes at the last couple of meets. And an amazingly nice person. I forget, what's the equation, x amount of lbs. = 1 HP in racing. |

Some of those barstools were nutz!!! I like the Harley powered one doing the monster burnout. When I finish my bike, maybe I will start building on of those. |

Personally, having spent some time with Jason Pridmore that is etched in my mind, my FAVORITE RULE at Bonneville is the (Rev. 2000) "No rental cars". |

Court Mate,I thought that you of all people would know that.1.Race cars with rental car spare parts in them go harder. 2 .Rental cars always go harder and faster on any surface than normal production cars.3.They also are able to leap culverts, stop in shorter distances and need less servicing than normal vehicles.Or so the story goes. |

POCKETBIKES!!!! YES!!! I had even thought of that, & I can get those a lot cheaper than a racing barstool. Plus I have always wanted one. |

Bad, You gotta post it! At some point the severe drag of a partially streamlined motorcycle WILL exceed available traction. Add HP and get no increase in peak speed. So maybe a skinny ole V-Twin with a wild cajun at the helm could out speed even a turbo Busa? It could happen. |

Yea, but didn't Richard say that the faster he went the more traction he got. Awesome designer that Erik guy!!! |

Jim Witt- I was just in Scottsdale on business and I am sad to say I only saw two sport bikes in the 5 days I was there. There were plenty of Harley's though. Are there very many Buell riders in Phoenix/Scottsdale or for that matter any Triumphs? The weather was awesome, I wish we could get some of that here in Oregon. Kimberlie |
