last sunday i entered my 2 bikes ('07 XB12Scg and '98 S1WL) into the toy run bike show here in South Florida (fort lauderdale). it was the first show after i spent the last 2 years giving life to my 2 projects, finally ready (almost!). and yes, in the Buell category, i got first (XB, or Ghost Ride) and second place (S1). it was a very nice experience, warming up for Daytona '09 where i will go with both bikes again. the S1 is more than ready, the XB still have to wear couple of nice goodies (ISR front brake and clutch master cylinder, new Arlen Ness buttons and a new oil filter with a nice and stylish shell (everything is already apart and ready to be chromed). here are my 2 champs, hope you like them.... finally at home, tired but happy! this piece of crap got best in show, the classic example how to waste $200.000!!!!!

Great (Italian) job! Shouldn't there be a picture of you getting a winning kiss from the girl instead of you kissing the trophies? If the "best in show" bike was painted red, I would have bet it to be something OCC built for the Red Lobster Restaurant chain..... |

Eshardball, i honestly don't know because i purchased it on Ebay, but i think it was a custom made piece. it is amazing cause it also come with the risers for the clamps, in case you wanna ride in a little bit higher position. |

The flames over the carbon fiber is a nice touch.... Too bad the tank and tail didn't have the same effect. The only thing missing from that s1 is the forks being polished..... Not hacking on you.... BEAUTIFUL bikes. But from a pure judgement view, that is what I thought of them Two of the wildest Buells I have seen! |

thanks guys. i'm very happy and satisfied for the result of this first show, i hope those trophies will be the first of many! i didn't wanna chrome the forks on the S1 because i want the bike to be still rideable, since the Ghost is not anymore so rideable anymore, too much money invested on it and too high the risk of f**k up everything riding around! i do ride it sometimes, but not as much as before, obviously. i still wanna enjoy my tuber, one of the most beautiful bikes ever made. i must say i was a little bit disappointed with the ignorance on our bikes. people still ask what kind of bike is that, one guy asked me what motor was it, i told him and he said back: SO THIS IS AN H-D ENGINE IN A JAPANESE FRAME?!?!?!?! i was about to kill him!!! also the judges are not very familiar with Buells, but i'm sure everything will be more competitive up in Daytona for the rat's hole. just found out there's a Buell category there also, so it'll be more pleasant to battle with other Buells! can't wait... i will post more pictures of the show and the S1 tomorrow, promise! |

Congrat's Ed on your trophies The S1 is Sweeet I can only imagine what my Buell would look and perform like if I had the budget you have! $$$$$$ Cheers Jodie |

Jodie, your hybrid S1/XB had nothing to be jealous of my bikes, you've done a unique bike, definitely the only one ever attempted on that style, so be proud! and you spent money on that bike too, so i don't see your budget so limited!!!! instead i'm not a big fun of the engine's modifications, i think you will affect the reliability of the bike, so i go with regular performance upgrades (exhaust/carburator/velocity stack for the S1, exhaust/hypercharger kit/remapped ECU on the XB)... |

Great bikes and thanks for the pics. What type of tail light do you have on the S1? I need one and I'm looking for something that tucks away. From the side you can't see yours and I like it. |

it's custom made. it's just a line of LED red lights, mounted on a black aluminum bracket and same for blinkers, but orange color. here's a picture of my bike before the last upgrade, i left the same bracket for the tail light...
