...of the mounting hole for the clock on an S3? Mine's at the dealer in storage, so I cna't do it myself, and I'm thinking I'd like to replace the clock with a voltage meter (after all what real biker needs a clock?). I'm thinking 2" or 2 1/8", but as the meter I'm looking at is fairly costly, I don't want to guess. Any help here? DW |

I have a small LED voltmeter from KURYAKYN on my S1 mounted on my Crossraods bars. It is very bright and easy to read. You may want to take a look at it. Pm me and I'll send you a Pic if you like. |

I also have the LED meter mounted on the gauge panel. Pretty slick setup. |

I do not remember the exact size but I replaced the clock on my S3 with a standard size Autometer clock when mine broke. (Message edited by davefl on December 09, 2008) |

+1 (+2, actually) on the Kuryakn LED meter. Got one on my Uly, and one on my S2. Tuck out of the way, nice legible readout, and according to my Fluke, decently accurate to boot. |

+3 on the Kuryakyn unit. Got mine from Al at American Sport Bike. Easy to install, looks and works well. Fabbed a bracket that is held on w/2 padded clamps, mounted on the handle bar between the handlebar clamps on my X-1; mounted the one on my XB on the front brake reservoir. Good kit, as the Brits say. |

Thanks all for the measurements. I'm looking at a standard gauge that uses an l.e.d. 'sweep' that's absolutely the bomb. I've seen the Kuryakyn model and really don't like the looks of it. The alternative is the unit offered by The Electrical Connection that I added to my Pacific Coast. It's a single 1/4" l.e.d. that glows red-yellow-green depending upon the supplied voltage, and it's very accurate between <11.5>12.0 volts. looks pretty wild, too, though I'm kinda partial to the gauge right about now.
