Has the gubbamint reduced any taxes on gas this time, or is that all a drop in market value? |

China was buying steel, copper, etc. as fast & they could before the Olympics. Now, not so much. They deliberately bought "too much" oil to be sure there would be no glitches or shortages during the Olympics, & now have cut back. They have a real sweet deal with Iran to buy lots of oil.....and still do. Gotta support the anti-western countries, right? That's a huge reason for the price spike, and it may ( may my a$$...! ) have been deliberate economic warfare. |

Here in WNY we have the highest in the USA. $2.14 on my way to work today. There is a congressmen blaming the store owners for making a $.70 profit per gallon but the store owners are claiming only a $.15 profit. Sometimes it seems like there is way to much BS that goes on on this side of NY. |

Most gas stations here make .02-.04 per gallon inside the store is where they make money. Utah $1.43 a gallon regular unleaded 85 octane. I wish we had 93 octane here. |

I beleive I saw $1.57 the other night. and it may ( may my a$$...! ) have been deliberate economic warfare. I completely believe it was an effort to throw our economy and flip the party balance in the election. I also suspect that there were internal influences (inside of our own country) to cool the economy. I miss the days when you could just walk off being spanked... |

1.65 regular here in Frederick MD. 1.87-ish for premium I think, I'll make note when I fill the Uly today or tomorrow. Wish diesel would drop, too...2.89 still. Oh, wait. Too much demand on diesel, and too much BS in the oil industry for fair pricing anymore, gas or diesel. I'm convinced if some big oil tycoon wants to take a trip, they just hike the price to pay for it. Just...because...they...can. What a crock. I'll just keep riding, and using as little of their product as possible. I heat the house with a pellet stove, too. Until we get some regulations in place that *work*, I'll trust big oil as far as I can throw 'em. |
